I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Nemar Mountain Aire that I have been looking at. I just left the bank that had it for sale (repo) and was cruising my way back home. Well I get about 20 miles down the road and hear a brrrrrrrrrr sound. I pull over and find out that my rear air bags are deflated and my mud flap is dragging.
I jacked up the back and looked and poked the airbags and they both feel flat (both sides) The guages on the dash still show 100 for the front and like 98 for the rear.
I called the guy and he is sending a guy to me to check the air line leading to the bags.
Any advice??

Hopefully, you "stole it". Some of the money you saved will have to go towards repairs.
It's easy to see if the air compressor is working (filling the airtanks). If the air pressure gauges are coming up past 100 psi you should hear an air leak, if there is one. If the pressure is building up normally, then the problem is with the routing of the air (not getting to the airbags).

The only thing that I can figure out is the lift control valve is stuck open and is letting the air out. I had that happen to me on the front airbags and I had it towed to a Freightliner shop where they changed the valve.

I guess what I am asking is this, could this simply be the air line leading to the airbags that has come loose? If so, it is a major repair or something inexpensive that the repairman can fix here on the spot?
I called the banker and he said that he would take care of it so that is encouraging.

Don't I have to turn on the engine to get the airbags to fill up? If so, how would I hear if it is making a hissing noise?

by the way, I am pretty much a noob when it comes to diesels. I just recently learned to press and pull the yellow button and to wait to turn the engine on until it beep and light go off.
I am a quick learner though.

Did you by any chance get the owner's manuals for the coach? These could give you a lot of information about the operation of the air system as well as the location of any valves.

I don't know what ERS is, but I do have AAA.
The repairman just pulled up.
I'll let you know what he says. I'm interested to see if it is in fact that valve.
