I can,t seem to determine this on web.

On roo 17 and 19 for example. can the bathroom be used without pushing the bed out. based on diagram it seems impossible.

do beds slide out or lay out?

can bed be slept in if not pushed out.

sorry for such dumb questions. Ijust want to know before iactually

go to see one .

thanks

Yes you can use the bathroom with the beds up.The beds are actually the walls on the side of the Roo,they are latched in place, when unlatched they swing down and are held up by either poles (2004 and before) or cables (2005 and newer),the hybrids are great campers.I had a Roo 19ft. and really liked it for 2 to 4 people,I wouldnt even consider the 17ft. unless my tow vehicle was an issue.

Ok, I've never heard of a Roo RV. I noticed Rockwood makes them. Are they from Austrailia or something. A friend of mine just got back from a month in Australia and said Roos are thick down there. He even called one a wuzzaroo. I asked, "what's a wuzzaroo?" He said, "That's a roo that got hit by a car mate."

Anyway, is a Roo a model name or style of unit?

do beds slide out or lay out? beds drop down like a ramp/tailgate. they don't slide out like a popup does. the beds are vertical when closed.
can bed be slept in if not pushed out. hybrid beds cannot be slept in until the bunk door is dropped down. so no.

Just an interesting name from Rockwood. They are not made here.

As stated before, the beds fold out.

We have the 3 bed model. We can use the bathroom, kitchen, eat at the table and lounge on the sofa with all 3 beds up. We usually do this when travelling far enough that we need to stop for bathroom breaks, eat lunch or just want to take a break. Very convenient.

Originally, we looked at the Roo 19, but, since the 233 was longer with 3 beds for less than $900 and around 500lbs more, we went with this one. We already had the tow vehicle and knew we had plenty of headroom for more weight.

the Rockwood Roo has been around since 1999, i think. it was one of the early brands of hybrids, after R-Vision invented them. it and the Flagstaff Shamrock are sister brands of Forest River. same exact models except for decals and decor.
i'm assuming that they came up with the name "Roo" because the canvas ends look like a pouch or because it's expandable like the kangaroo's pouch.
