I bought one because it was supposed to be so good for making gluten free bread. I can make better bread without it. And I bake bread every two weeks and freeze some because I cannot buy good bread.

You may want to check your local thrift store. I purchased two there and then down-loaded manuals on-line. Just be sure all of the parts are there.

Hi, Buy yourself a bread machine. Life is short. They don't cost much. Go to the thrift stores, or yard sales. My wife has one at home and one in our cabin. We don't use it a lot. But she has a lot of fun trying different breads. The biggest problem is-hot buttered bread is soooo good. We can polish off a loaf in no time. It would take a lot of room in our RV so it stays home. The pot lucks we go to all want her to bring her home made bread. Its a hit. Go for it, you'll have fun. Ken

I have 2 bread machines. I haven't used the large one for a long time. I bought a small one last year that makes the small loaf like they serve in restaurants. It is named "Just for Dinner" and makes and bakes the loaf in 45 minutes. It is quite small and I have taken it in the motorhome and made cinnamon raisin bread for breakfast. The 2 of us don't eat a lot of bread.

I also have the "Just For Dinner" bread machine and love it! It makes just the right size loaf for the two of us. I usually make loaves of different flavors and freeze them as well aa eating them fresh. It only takes 45 minutes for a loaf from start to the finished product.

To the OP and others, Well you got me started! After this thread I started looking at Bread Machines. I kept looking at the local thrift store but no luck. Then Walmart put a $59. Oster Machine marked down to $35. after Christmas. I told two friends about how easy it is to use and they each bought one!
I just made my fourth loaf and I bought the machine last Thursday. I told my friends that I want to add a pack of hot dogs to the mix then when it's done I can just slice it and add mustard!! I won't say what they told me.

I went to the thrift store today and there was a nice Oster bread maker for $12. Having never had a bread maker before, what all is supposed to be inside one so I know if everything that is supposed to be there is there?
