I am thinking about getting this hitch. Anyone out there have any experience with it? I am sure the sway control will work just fine, but my first concern is how good the wd works, as my Armada has a soft suspension. Thanks for your info.
For us working folks, you've got the money to camp, but no time, or you've got the time but no money!!

As long as you get WD bars suited to your actual tongue weight and have the hitch setup properly, there is no reason at all you should not get as good WD with that hitch as any other.

I've had mine since this spring and like it a lot. I had a dead weight hitch with friction before.
I like the design of the Pro Series SC and in fact they have updated it since I got mine with tapered bars and a better method for putting the bars on the pads.
Easy to install easy to use.
That being said, it is a matter of preference. The dual cam has a very loyal following as does the Equilizer (which this is somewhat of a clone of).
Your call.

We really like our Pro Series SC - it is very easy to hook up and unhook, and seems to dampen sway and distribute the weight properly. We have a full size conversion van, and I think they use pretty "soft" springs in the rear - at least compared to a pick up. We added some AirLift bags to fine tune the leveling depending on how the tow vehicle is loaded. All in all, everything works great. Our maximum towed weight is about 6500 pounds ...

I have only driven with mine once. It seemed to work quite well (I set it up myself in a convenience store parking lot). There was no noticeable sway. The only thing we did notice was some "porpoising" on small hills. I'm going to try tilting the ball down one more notch on the toothed washers to see if that eliminates the porpoising. It should put more weight on the trunnion bars.
I think, for the price, the SC Pro is an outstanding buy.

That looks very similar to the Equalizer which has been working great so far for me. I would imagine it'd be fine as long as your loaded Hitch Weight is less than 850-lbs or so.

I've been very pleased with mine, which I bought soon after they were introduced. I originally used it with a '95 4Runner and had no problems; my TV is now a 3/4 ton pickup. I'd buy another if I was starting again.
