I just got in the mail safety recall j24 mopar tow bar for my 2008 4dr jeep wrangler sahara. The problem is -- the mopar brand tow bar, purchased for your jeep wrangler vin#--- may allow the towed vehicle to become detached from the tow vehicle.This can result in a crash without warning. Chrysler will repair your vehicle free of charge(parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will replace the cross tube,vertical hitch pins,hair pins,horizontal hitch pins,frame mounting brackets,and fasteners.

Just got mines today too.All i ever use that for is to carry our bikes but will get it to dealer soon.

the recall is for the tow bar on the front of the jeep, not the hitch on the rear

It is only the OEM tow bar. Not an aftermarket tow bar.

My tow bar was bought from camping world, falcon tow master.I have no idea where the brackets were bought from.So i would not say it is only O.E.M.

I am REALLY confused as to what Chrysler would have to do with a Roadmaster towing setup. How would Chrysler even know that you have the Roadmaster equipment installed? Why would Chrysler do a recall on something that is not theirs?

I haven't received any notice.
My towbar is an adjustable A-frame by Reese or Valley Industries (I don't remember, and it has no identification on it).
