The door handle on our splendid washer/dryer broke off yesterday. Can just the handle be replaced?

Welcome to the broken handle club on a 2100. Yes you can buy the handle although it comes with the metal latch for $45. 800-356-0766 in WA. I carry a spare one but the DW has learned to wait the two minutes it takes for the door to unlock.
This post is my opinion (free advice). It is not intended to influence anyone's judgment nor do I advocate anyone do what I propose.

Or you can rewire the handle/door assembly to defeat the lock out which will allow you to open it at any time in any cycle. If you call the Splendide techs they will tell you how to do this with the caveat that you run the risk of flooding if you do not have the door completely latched while it is running.
This is one of the best mods we did for ourselves during our 10+ years of fulltiming. It was a MAJOR inconvenience to not be able to open that door without waiting 2 1/2 minutes each time during the drying cycle and it wouldn't open at all during the wash cycle. Now we can carefully open and close the door as needed. Now we can add a last-minute item to the wash or take out some items as they are drying to hang them up damp while the others continue to dry a little longer. A big time and annoyance saver!

In the meantime, if you will look closely you can see where, if you insert a small screwdriver, you can use that to open the door. Been there, done that!! I broke mine when it was brand new a few days into our Alaska caravan. A very handy fellow actually made a temporary handle out of an eye bolt and attached it for me. After several months, it gave away so I used the screw driver until I could replace the handle. You must watch for the blinking light to slow down before opening the door.
