Not sure about the OP, but in my case the handle fell apart. I too keep a supply of the plastic plungers that I bought from Fleetwood. There's a company that advertizes in MH magazine that makes them out of metal. When I deplete my supply of the plastic plungers, I'll start replacing them with the metal ones.

I have a Fleetwood American Eagle. If you look at the door handle back side there is a little lever that attaches the the handle itself. It's about an inch long with 2-90 degree bends. They tend to jump out of position and it does not hit the roller. All you have to do is reposition it. Should be good to go. The trick is close the bay doors gentally.

here is the link for the metal latches. I just purchased a couple, a bit pricey but they won't snap.

I just received replacement door catches from Fleetwood, how do we install them. What does the inside of the cargo door look like if we take the cover off? Is there something that attaches to the latch? What is the name of the place to buy the metal ones, I am very interested in doing that.
