Good Sams has offered emergency assistance for rver's and I was wondering has anyone applied for this protection and is it worth the yearly payment? Has anyone used this service and could give a review.

Road Side Assistance is the least expensive piece of mind insurance I've ever bought. And I've gotten good service a couple times I used it...stuck once, another time had to have the lug nuts tightened on the road (but the kid that came with the truck didn't have the proper tools).

But...I don't use GS because of the tons of junk mail they sent me when I signed up. Switched to CoachNet and like them even better. Have used them 3 times and they seem to have a better network because all 3 of the techs knew what they were doing, had the right tools, and knew what the torques were for my lug nuts (for instance). And no junk mail. Around the same price.

On Edit: Oh, emergency MEDICAL assistance. Sorry, don't know anything about that.

The truth is in the fine print. Read the entire offering very careful and pay particular attention to the exclusions for known prior or previous medical conditions. Would not work for us and IMO, will NOT work for the majority of the people that actually have and pay for the GS EA service. If you had a cold 20 years ago, you probably are excluded for a prior medical condition. Sarcasm intended.

Look at coach net through the FMCA. If I remeber correctly the savings pays for the FMCA membership. Also a + is that Coach Net gets uniformly positive reviews from MH owners.

You do not need to be a member of FMCA to purchase CoachNet. You can purchase it direct and the cost is about the same. But FMCA has a fantastic magazine as part of the member benefits. Oh, I prefer CoachNet over other because CW's Roadcare (or what ever the name, GS sister EA plan left me hanging quite a while back and CoachNet has been great, going beyond and above what was required of them.

Well first of all lets all get on the same page. Are you talking about Good same emergency road service or are you talking about Good Sam Emergeny assistant plan that provides transportation for the person, drives or takes your RV home, gets your spouse back home and many other benifits? So let us know what plan you are talking about and we can go from there. For those that don't know about the GS emergency evacuation plan here is a link.

Good Sam emergency plan.

The good sam emergency road service is a different plan.

Good Sam Raod service

I beleive that the OP is asking about the GS Emergency evactuation plan, and not the road service, we will see if he comes back to clear this all up. Any way if you are interested, click on bothe links to see the difference. I don't beleive coach net offers a plan like this but could be wrong

If you want emergency evacuation service, join FMCA, it is a free benefit. If you want roadside service and towing, get Coachnet.
