I have a '90 Lance 4000 9.4 camper and Im trying to figure out where the pre-wired speakers wires end up at. They dive into the wall w/ the power and ground and cant find them anywhere.
Thanks

Mine were taped up inside a cabinet void. Had to pull a draw and peek in with a flashlight. Mine had 12v power, ground, antenna and speaker wires all nicely wrapped together in an area for the adding of a radio. I think most mfg's did about the same thing, sometimes. Good luck, Don

I had a 92 and one end of the bundle was underneath the refer and the speaker wires were in the overhead cabinet. If you lift up the bottom of the cabinet (it was very thin plywood, you should find them). As I recall, the bottom of the refer had a wood panel about 3 or 4 inches tall that ran the width of the refer. It was a combination of that thin plywood and thicker trim. The power bundle and extras were in there.
I am sorry but I can't recall how I found them, but I think I located them by looking through the outside access to the refer. (I think. Old age has blurred my memory)

Good luck

Sorry, our camper, same time period 5th had speakers, factory mounted in the ceiling, but no radio.

The hard pard for us was finding the radio end of the wiring. I thought you were dealing with the same scenario.

My bad.

Lance's website offers a 1999 pfd file showing approximate speaker location, but also recommends contacting a dealer for exact location.

Try giving Lance a call at 661/949-3322

That is pretty bad. I think the speakers go in the ceiling.

Lancecamper.com -> support has the factory brochures back to 1999. Maybe you find some helpful pictures in there.

In our 2002 Lance there were stickers on the inside of the ceiling that indicated where the speakers would go. Two above the dinette, two in the cabover. If they did this already way back when your camper was made, you might find the places where the stickers used to be (rectangular spots with glue residue and slightly brighter than the surrounding material, about 1 x 2 in).

In our Lance there were rectangular OSB plates with round coutouts for the speakers in the roof behind the Luan. A stud finder might help finding candidate locations, or an acoustic test of the ceiling (should sound differently when you tap it).

Good luck,
Joerg

Here is what I did, I just looked online for pictures of my camper that had that option installed. Walla! Looked at the picture, and sure enough all the wires are there.
