Finally said the heck with it and retired last Friday on my birthday. My social checks will start coming in May, just in time for camping season. I applied for my SS several months ago and I’m set to go.

The truck got a new set of shocks, brakes and will get new tires next month. The trailer got new brakes, wheel bearing pack and new tires. The TT is restocked, cleaned and ready to go.

I told the darling wife that I’ll be back in late October or early November, depends on when the snow starts. Needless to say she was not too happy with that. I said hey, I’ll see you every week or ten days to get more ice, beer and grub!

Anyway, going to do a lot of camping this spring, summer and fall.

Happy camping to everyone!

X2 for me 2014 will give me 32 years in the Fire Dept plus my 4 years military. 36 is a nice number. Just knowing that you can retire helps to deal with all the problems at work. Once again congrats to all of you that have "Pulled the Plug" happy camping !!!
