A lot depends on the location/management. I worked for that company in a national forest a few years ago. It was a new campground for them and they overhired. Got laid off halfway through the season.

I did it so I could make a LOT of money and retire at 44 with 26 years seniority in the steel industry. Full pension and medical too.

You're right, HappyKayakers, a lot does depend on location and immediate management. Sorry you didn't have a good experience. We have been very lucky in that regard. Our advice to all workampers is to decide "where" you want to be first. Then decide "who" you want to work for. (jo)
