I found a loaded 24' x 8.6' feather-lite surv which seems like a steal for $10K.. Featherlite doesn't make them anymore because they weren't popular salesman told me. Owner said they paid $15K new in 2006.. Didn't the feather-lite surv sell for much much more? I cant find a 24 x 8.6 bumper pull on NADA used trailer site and cant determine a value.
Why weren't they popular?

Thanks

I guess a better title would have been..

" Any issues with SURV #7924 " or "why weren't they popular?"

I'm so adamant about a aircraft standards aluminum TH, I'm considering one over 12 hrs away..

How something like this sold for 15K new in 06 is unbelievable.

List price for the 2006 SURV was mid $40s or more. They made 3 sizes and was measured on living area: 20, 24 and 28 foot models. They were all model 7924 - confusing at best! Add 4 feet for the "V"nose and another 3 or 4 for the tongue.... Only the 28' had a separate bedroom up front. I have the 28 footer which is about 36' long overall. Dry tongue weight was ~ 1250 lbs (unloaded - couple of motorcycles or quads helps balance the load). Pulls good unloaded with Dodge 2500 w/ Cummins Diesel.... Had to go with the 1400 lb Equalizer hitch with built in sway control....
The 2007 went to 3 axles to help with tongue weight (especially with generator and fuel tank option).
I think they just made too many for the price??? You may have one custom made by Featherlite now!
Watch out for scams! See it in person before you spend and $$$$$$. Sounds too good to be true huh?
There is one on ebay now!!!!

The one on ebay is a new 06?? for 24K

This one has a bed room upfront looks like. As far as I can tell, the only thing missing is a generator and the awning blew off. The guy and his wife sound honest and claim they paid 15K and used it 5 times.. Original tires..

I'm leaving tomorrow to go get it if its as described.

Any suggestions on things I should look for?

The one on ebay in Atlanta(item number 190658101273) looks like a 24 foot living area model as does the one you have posted a pic of... The 28 footer with the front bedroom has a side window on both sides near the front.... The one you posted has a pulldown bed and 2 convertable sofa/sleepers as shown....
Look for a buyer's checklist on the forum to help you.

I just picked up the Featherlite from TX. 26 hrs of driving in 3 days and my head's still spinning.

I was disappointed to find this surv featherlite has a plywood floor. I didn't realize FL used wood but didn't drive that distance to come back empty handed.. Was tempted for a second though.. Does your surv have a plywood floor Camperking?
The rear bed is a pain to put up and down evenly also.

Other than that, its super clean, almost new, and everything the seller said. The only thing missing is more tie downs for the bikes and a FL users manual. But since I didn't check it out completely Im sure other small things will be found.. Like the coleman mach A/C leaking rain water along the way.. lol

I wonder if the wood floor has anything to do with Parker Performance?
http://performancetrailer.com/

The trailer has a few stickers saying "Performance by Parker" on it..

Looks like a very nice trailer for only $15K.

You could lay sheet metal over the plywood floor in the garage area to make it look nicer and help protect the plywood from damage of loading and unloading items.

Congrats on your purchase (or theft - seems like you stole it!).... The floor in mine is engineered wood - far superior to just plywood. I have 4 factory d-rings recessed in the floor from the factory which by the way, is in Cresco, Iowa! I bet it feels at home again!
Had another toyhauler with an aluminum diamond plate floor that was like a sheet of ice in the winter - BRRRR!
Your a/c may need the mount tightened or gasket replaced unless it is a leak from the evaporator pan. Can be caused by dirt dauber nests in the weep holes - search the forum for the Coleman Mach (which after 10 RVs, I prefer)!!!! No rubber roof, fiberglass or ABS siding to worry with either!!!!!!
Your pull-down bed may have an assist cylinder broken? Mine works well but, takes a bit of effort... You did good!!!!
