Purchased a couple of Maxxair vent covers (#1529) the other day at my local Camping World for $26.99 each. Online (when signed in with my GS account in my profile and not signed in) the price says $29.49.

What gives?

They want you to come to the store and buy more stuff you don't need. You always have to be aware of what you are buying and what other peoples prices are to get a good deal. Maybe you can call them and tell them about it and get the in store price and free shipping for catching their issue.

Well that was all I bought. I needed the vent covers then and didn't need to wait for them to come in the mail. They are only 7 miles away from us.

Costco has the same thing. The in store price (if it's available) is usually always a few dollars cheaper in the store than online.

Did they have "free" shipping for online orders?

At the time of your purchase our "April Fool's" sale was in effect and the price of the MaxxAir vent cover was $26.99. This sale price expired 4/1/12 and the price of the vent cover reverted to $29.49.

Thank you.

wbwood,

I am not sure I understand. You did get the lower price correct? Often times we may have in store pricing or online pricing that may vary. Sometimes there are internet only prices and sometimes there is in store specials. I take our pricing strategy very seriously and will make sure that we stay on top of this.

thanks for the feedback

Thanks Jean! That explains it....

Marcus, I think Jean just explained what happened. I did get the lower price and that was not the issue. I was just wondering why the price was lower than online. But as Jean mentioned, there was a sale going on apparently and the price I go in the store happened to be the sale price. Makes sense to me now. I was just wondering from what others have mentioned about seeing the same price on the website whether they are logged in or not.

And by the way, you can call me Brian. I need to fix that in my signature.

Costco? I can't find vent covers on Costco website. Maybe it's local to Washington? I may not be looking at the right place.
