On my trip to arizona last feb. my coach would not build air after coming off I10 in Gilda Bend Ariz. called gs and they sent a tech. He could not get air even after bypassing the dryer. GS had it towed to Rocky Mt Cummins where they said the dryer had to be changed because it was not servicable. Call GSEXW and they said it was not covered, then i asked about covering trip interruption they said only if the coach was in an accident and not operable well with no brakes and 3 days to get one shiped in i think the coach was not able to be driven. I have had the ins. since owning the coach but everytime i have a major problem they tell me it is not covered, why have it and why wouldn't this be covered???

The tech bypassed the dryer and it didn't allow you to build pressure but apparently the dryer is at fault and needs to be replaced? Doesn't sound right to me. More to the story perhaps?

Air brake dryer is a routine maintenance item, your coach is a 1999 so it's probably not been serviced in over 12 years. I think they did their part in getting your coach off the highway and into a shop, but I don't think they should be paying for your maintenance issues. If the trip interruption requires an accident, then you didn't have one, which is pretty fortunate, and I wouldn't be complaining....

I would also service the air governor, btw. And drain the tanks...

Changed a water pump on a 350 Cummins right across the street from the Rocky Mt. Cummins about 10years ago. They did not like that. Took about 3-hours.

If you can send me your Good Sam ESP contract number in a private message, I will research the claim and see if it was handled properly.
