I have read a lot about tires and their speed rating. So it brings me to my question. The ST tires are rated for 65? mph? I usually drive max of 70, but mostly 65 to save fuel, but I am passed by trailers, and 5'ers all the time.

I know I will be upgrading to BFG commercial TA tires soon, so I should not have a 65 MPH limit, but still not looking to win the race.

Drive 65 to 68 and get passed regularly but still pass a few. Don't really care as thats my speed. And I'm already on lt tires.

I seldom go over 65, usually between 60 and 65. I know I get better mileage then those that think that 75 (or 85) is fine. Plus I know I can stop, safely.

I generally try to go with the flow of traffic when when I'm in and around traffic. On the open road 60-70mph depending on the terrain and wind. I have a set of B.F. Goodrich Commercial TAs on mine. No tire problems in 10,000 miles. According to my TST monitor they run pretty cool. If I need to go a little faster to pass someone I will. I hate parking it out in the left lane as I slowly creep by someone.

ST tires are rated for 65MPH so I drive 65 or less. I wouldn't push a tire too much over it's speed limit plus there's really no reason to tow 70 MPH anyhow; unless you're out west.

I switched to LTs and drive the speed limit if reasonable to do so. typically NE and eastern CO I drive the full 75.

Ironically - I saw somewhere you can exceed 65 on an ST tire IF you increase pressure beyond the maximum based on a sliding scale. Gave me the shivers so I just replaced them.
