I was thinking about carrying two spare tires for my 5er instead of one for my 2,500 mile trip from Los Angeles to Washington. Where would I find a rim and another attachment to my rear bumper? Any idea of cost for the rim and attachment?

I bought a spare tire for my tow dolly, and I think the rim and tire set me back all of about $70, it was a cheap bias ply tire that matched the ones already on the tow dolly.
ETrailer.com has already mounted tires for sale. They might also have a source on the mounting bracket too. Give them a call with your bolt pattern, tire size, they might be able to quote you a exact replacement, mount the tire, deflate it and mail it to you. No they can not ship inflated tires.

I bought a spare rim at Tredit Tire and had a tire mounted. I carry two spares with us on long trips. One in the bed of the truck, the other on rear bumper like always. The rim cost was around $35.

If you mount 2 spare tires to the stock rear bumper of the trailer, you may end up arriving to your destination with no spare tires and no bumper. Those bumpers are pretty flimsy...

When we had our Mobile Suites I did carry an unmounted spare tire in the basement area since we did have a blowout and I had trouble finding the right sized tire. Thought it would be very rare for two tires to go and I could get the unmounted spare mounted just about anywhere.

Good grief! The bumper police are as bad as the weight police on this site. It's a given that even the cheapest RV bumper is rated for at least 200lbs. A spare tire and bracket is at best 80lbs. so by my calculations you could conceivable haul two back there and still be within the weight limits.
It seems to me that if your bumper is as weak as you all claim, then what's the point in having it? Why not just paint them on back of the RV?
Here's a tip, make sure the wheel fits your trailer... My traveling buddy Paul hauled his for 9 years before he needed it, who'd thought
they'd put a six lug rim spare on 5 lug axel trailer? It made for a very interesting afternoon. He hit a sheet of plywood in the road full of nails and took out both trailer tires on one side. While I cut away all the un-need trailer parts, Paul went the tire store and got one new tire mounted only to return to find the other rim had an extra hole in it, so, back to the tire store he went.

I made a 17,000 mile journey (including the Alaska Highway) last summer with one spare for the trailer, and I didn't use that one. I think you're over-thinking your 2,000 mile trip. 
Semi-"retarred" in 2006. :-) 2008 Newmar Cypress 5th wheel, 2008 Dodge diesel dually to pull it with.

my goal is to keep myself rolling... While I do not carry the second unmounted spare all the time, I do carry a spare spring, spare shackles, spare u-bolts, spare bearings, spare seals etc....
