Purchased new (last year model) Navion 24J. Noted that inner rear dual tire does not have tire extension and Winnebago and MB both point to each other or the dealer for solving the problem. To further complicate the issue changing tire valves appear to have legal and warranty implications...so I have been told. anyone have ideas?Patrick

Yes, join Yahoo View/Navion group you will get lots of info there. On my Winny they put extension on inner and not outside need a dual foot gauge I would think yours is the same.

Replaced my rubber valve stems with metal including a longer one for inside duals. I know of no legal or warranty issues with changing the valve stems.

There is really no problem for them to solve. From their viewpoint duals have been serviced for more than 80 years using truck tire service tools. There are tools to remove and replace caps, check pressure, and add air. Extensions are a way to make the task more convenient, but they create their own problems. No chassis manufacturer installs screw-on valve extensions.
You can install extensions yourself, or replace the valve stems with custom stems, to make the job easier.
If the standard valve stems are part of a factory installed tire pressure monitoring system, there are legal issues about their replacement with something else, or even using extensions that disable the sensors. As owner, you can do what you want, but the vehicle dealer or a tire dealer may be constrained from removing safety equipment, especially if it is mandated safety equipment for that model year. I don't know it that is the case for your model year Sprinter, I've run into the issue on some late model passenger cars with run-flat systems.

My 11 J came with extensions on the inner tires as have the other folks I converse with here. I am under the impression MB installs them.
I have alligator V2B caps on the valves that do not need to be removed to check/fill with a dually chuck.
