I stopped like I always do on my way back to AK in Teslin, YT at Yukon Motel and RV Park just north of bridge on right. This year they are giving you .04 cents off a litre (.18 a gallon) gas or diesel and like most years I have fueled there they are cheaper than Whitehorse.

Just thought I would pass it along since every penny on fuel will count for most this year. Road up is in good shape, sitting in Homer watching a few Eagles and few rain drops.

Teslin is a nice place. We liked the Johnson museum.

BigRigRVing, don't you scare all the eagles away before we can get up there. It will be almosst another month before we leave and probably 6-8 weeks before we reach Alaska!

Thanks for passing along the info on fuel. Here in Houston saw diesel and gas for same price $3.959 at one filling station and then saw diesel for $4.099 some place else. $$$$

That spot has given the same discount for years. The RV park is a decent spot to stay and the fuel price is an added incentive to stop.

The restaurant wasn't all that great the last time we stopped over.

The wildlife museum there is a good one though. Nicely done, and no entry fee if you've taken a campsite for the night.

Does that discount just apply if you stay in their RV park?

Here is the place being discussed. Campground is to the left of the building, backs up to the lake, (the inlet to the lake actually) and the museum is out of sight to the right. The owner, is the son of the couple, that owned and operated Mukluk Annies for many years prior to it's closing.

I also like that spot. Got discount on fuel on way up without staying the night. Stayed there on the way home. Their y-fi is very powerfull even down by the river. Lots of spots claim to have y-fi but you have to be right in the store to pick it up.

Sue I have fueled there up and back for 5 years in a row and this is the first discount I have received, maybe it is just me.

No you do not have to stay at RV park to get discount.

Anyway stop don't stop just passing it along.

One can also pick up one of the free travel magazines on the racks in Yukon ... the discount (and many others) is in there too. And if you stay on your way up, I think they still give the card to get the fuel discount on your day back down.

With the cashier at the Yukon Motel, I discovered that just chatting her up and letting her know we're return customers and have stayed there in the past is enough to get the discount even though we just passing through with our RV.
