We are planning a move and want to put in a new slab to park or motor home. We have one now but it was years ago when we put it in. I do remember they used re bar to. How long do you have to wait till you can drive your coach on it . I have a Winnebago Sightseer with 22.5 tires.

If I where you, I'd sure ask the person who's pouring the concrete. Concrete has to have time to cure. Longer the better.

When I was lookiing at a concrete slab, I also was told 30 days. Finally ended up using railroad ties instead. $400.00 total and 1 day.

Just poured my pad last Thursday. Concrete Guy said for the cars on the pad wait five days but due to the weight of the coach he stressed waiting 28 days for a full cure of the material.

Concrete is considered to be at 50% strength after curing 7 days and 100 % in 30 days. Fot yhe motor home I'd wait the 30 days

Just parked on our brand new slab last Friday. Slab in 4-5 in", and uses wire mesh and fiber. Concrete company said to wait 7 to 21 days, but our company rep who installed the slab, saw the gasser, and was back at the slab every 1 to 2 days after completion gave us the ok after 10 days. He did mention "the longer, the stronger" rule, but said that we should be ok. Parked on it last Friday (10 days), and all has been well.

I don't care what anyone else does. I've been doing this for a LONG time and as much as concrete costs wait the 28 days before you park on it. Also be aware that many slabs now do not have rebar. As was mentioned they put fiber in the concrete. Ground prep is crucial however.

Just to add to what others have said----

Poured 31 cu yds of new driveway and RV pad April 3rd....Concrete guy said give it 7 days for a car and the full 30 days for the MH (approx 20K lbs).....Too much money involved for me to push it and try to put the MH on it early.....

Just ordered a metal structure/RV carport and it should be delivered next week..should have it up just in time for the MH to move in.....

I waited a month on a 6" pour......no point in pushing things especially when were talking 20-30-40,000 pounds. Good luck!
