Hi!
I know that there are some people who will not stay at Organ Pipe Cactus due to safety concerns, but we just spent 3 nights there and had a great time and did not feel unsafe at any time! The campground is beautiful as well as the surrounding area.
Just wanted to share with people, since I know it is a concern for some. If you're interested in reading/learning more, we wrote in depth on our blog (link below in signature block). By the way, great 3G verizon service!

We also spent a couple nights there,,, fear? of what coyotes and sounds at night. One of the neatest things is the programs put on there by the rangers, oh and the cowboy coffee in the mornings with rolls.\Birds every where..
Beautiful ride through the cati on the bus, 5.00 donation and they drive show all and tell all. Great times if some one just takes the time to go and enjoy. Thanks for the reminder Suzanne

Mid-April - we hit a cool spell - was in the low 80's one day, 70's one day and 60's (with rain) the next day. However, it was in the 90's just before us getting there and heading back up a day or so after leaving.
We were there after all the "happenings" which end by APril - there were no ranger talks or walks which we enjoy, but there were a few other rigs (15-20) and it was very quiet.
