Hi everyone , ive joined up to the forum because i have owned a Dodge Apache C Class RV for ten years now , and so far have managed to maintain it well, now i could do with a little help and guidence , and this looks like a good place to stop by.
As each year passes and the fuel prices rise and rise over here in the UK i considerd selling the RV , but its been so good to us as a family of 5 that she cant be let go,she is is also the dragcars tow wagon, at the weekend we went back through the van and gave her the annule after winter clean out big time, machanicly its fine belive it or not , however i do have a leaky wheel cylinder that needs changing on the rear, but my supplier over here USAUTOMTIVE.CO.UK cant be sure he is supplying me with the correct part, i gave him the dually chassis number and he said there are about 3 different types , could someone on here possibly put there kneck on the line and tell me the part number or a link to the part i will need, i will post a couple of pictures of the van later on , and introduce myself if you have an area for that , many thanks Rob.

Welcome to the Forum!
When I am looking for a hard to find part, I often go to NAPA Auto Parts online
I'm not familiar with your Dodge chassis, but you might want to check their website out.
Good luck.

Welcome from your American cousins. Good to see folks on that side of the water joining in. There are a few folks from Western Europe on the forum and a couple from Australia. Post us some pics of your travels in your part of the world as we always enjoy them. Getting over there is just a dream for a lot of us. Good luck on finding your part.

After reading your post again, I thought of something.
If you are unable to find a wheel cylinder, perhaps the one you have can be rebuilt. They make rebuild kits and the cups inside are available seperately. They are probably easier to find, too.
If you have a knowledgeable mechanic, it shouldn't be much of a job, providing the cylinder isn't too badly pitted inside. It is common practice, though, to rebuild both wheel cylinders at the same time.

Welcome to the group. I can not help with a part #. But having restored many old cars I can tell you that if all else fails I get a rebuilt kits and take them to a machine shop where they bore it larger and install a sleeve and bore it to standard size. Take both rear if you do it that way. That way you get some thing you can rebuild for years.

To get the correct ones.....You need to measure the bore size of your existing wheel cylinders .
There were different weight ratings on the same basic chassis with different size brake shoes and matching wheel cylinders etc.
Your parts house should list the bore and shoe size next to each pn#
Here in the U.S. these parts are readily availible as dodge used the same basic brake system on 1 ton trucks well into the 90,s

Crossfirerob, Hit your control button and the plus (+) button. This should make it larger. Control and minus(-) will reduce it again.

I agree that the re build is the way to go, after taking them apart a good cleaning is in order then a new "O" ring and a new boot, (no not the lid on the back of the vehicle), but a rubber piece that prevents dirt from getting into the cylinder, and your done!
