we had our umbrella on the beach, our chairs, our boogie boards, our coolers and we were set.

along comes a brown lab pup with NASTY owners. Right in front of our setup the dog takes a monster poop. Guy has that look of 'ut oh' while slugging down his beer.

he bends down, digs a big hole and shoves the poop in.

Gives us the big smile and wave with the beer in the air. They move on.

I look at hubby, hubby looks at me with amazement. We laughed but couldn't talk for a few minutes cause we couldn't believe it. (you had to be there to see these people anyway)

Of course it was me who said, lets move. A few small trips and we moved down the beach to a clean area.

I had no intention of digging up poop and being the good samaritan in this instance. It was all I could do not to gag anyway
some days right?

There are so few CGs that don't allow dogs, what else can the person do? Why don't you dog owners get after those dog owners who leave a mess behind and allow their dogs to bark 24/7? Police your own. I've yet to see a dog owner get after another dog owner who is obviously spoiling it for those who are responsible.

Same time the old farts police each other for screaming because they are deaf, parents police each other for screaming kids, campground owners police each other for not enforcing policy-you get my drift. One-on-one confrontations can get ugly-and dangerous. My recommendation is to advise the camground personnel and keep after them. If they don't enforce then politely tell them you are going elsewhere because of it.

How do you know they were redneck and what difference does it make? Irresponsible is irresponsible, period. I'm a died-in-the-wool yank but when I'm toting my shotgun, in jeans and a John Deere t-shirt, it's hard to tell I've lived just outside Boston my entire life. That is, until I talk!

wow did this ever turn into the "I have to rage" thread.

Wanda, dont be such a....

I remember the nice woman in Mesa, that would try and take advantage of the fact that I have a dog, and always let "Princess" go in our site. Devious.

I finally had enough of "Princess's" gifts and recorded her with my cell phone from the rv. I gave her the choice of stopping, or explaining to the management why. Like most, she tried to deny it, until I showed her the clip.

Thankfully she didnt return in the middle of the night to let "Princess" get even.

You absolutely have the right to find a campground that you will enjoy. I'm sure that there are campgrounds that have a no-pet policy (or no-pet loops), but I can't give you a specific one, at least in that region, since I always travel with my pets. It is just a suggestion, but don't rule out the State Parks. You might be surprised how much you are missing out by limiting yourself to "full-hookups" only, and you might also be surprised how much you can "stretch" those holding tanks, even more with the addition of a blue tote.

Crowe, they were missing teeth. and believe me redneck fit them. I don't think manners of any kind were top on their list of things to do in life.
I will take out the redneck and put in nasty owners. (see edited post above)
