I found this interesting. After all this is all a Class C chassis is.
A cut a way is a box van only instead of a box you have a house.

That is pretty interesting. OK dumb question: Are there still Class C's made on Chevy 4500 chassis?

Just a chevy ad, who else could win?
RVTen, feeding two more smaller cylinders won't automatically equate to high fuel usage . There are many more factors.

chevy is making a big push for their 4500 chassis to rv manufacturers .
they have dropped the price and most manufacturers are taking them up on their offer and offering both f0rd and chevy chassis.
I think this is mostly because ford won't guarantee how long they will make the chassis since they are going to transit.
as the Forest river rep said -Ford says the rv chassis is not going away soon but will not say if they will manufacturer it forever.
thr rv makers are hedging their bets and keeping another supplier around just in case.

Hi,
If both vehicles were brand new then the Ford computer may well have chosen to protect the engine. I know my fuel mileage took a nice jump upwards after the 10000 kilometer "break in" period (6000 miles).
At first I got dreadful mileage--so I slowed down. When I did I got even worse mileage as the computer kept the mix "rich".

Nice info, but I will keep my 1984 Ford 460 BIG BLOCK Class C, 24' Jamboree with a Holly Carb.
OK, OK, I know I only get six miles to the gallon but I am having so much fun burning 21.33 ounces of Premium gas per minute, and it is only 72 cents per mile at $4.33 per gallon. Good thing I have two 44 gallon tanks.
It really gives me a patriotic feeling supporting the economy as I go down the highway at full throttle!
As a side note, mine will do a hundred, don’t ask me how I know this
Show me the GRILL and STAND BACK!!!!
