RE: 60 mph sticker

I don't really care if I tell them why I am driving 60 or not.

RE: special LIC. needed?

In Texas if your coach weighs over 26,000 lbs. you need a Class B license.
that is applicable to Class A motorhomes, how about 5ers?

RE: How many miles on your TV

in another thread somebody proposed buying a used big diesel with 600 or 800,000 miles on it. :)
didn't make sense to me.

RE: towing a 1998 Chevrolet Tracker

I had one, maybe a little older, and at that time you had to have manual front hubs to tow it 4 down.

RE: Known overweight failures

yep, and when the transmission goes out at 80,000 miles instead of lasting the normal 150,000 it doesn't get reported here.
bumpy
When did 150,000 miles become normal? If it breaks before that it's not normal? Hmnm.
terribly sorry I was just throwing some SWAG numbers out for discussion purposes. We can make it 70 and 140, 60 and 120, 50 and 110 or take your pick. the point is which obviously eluded you was that premature wear on components would not necessarily be attributed to abuse, and it might even happen to the next buyer of a used vehicle.

that is the way about 99.9% of DPs were made before bedroom slides appeared.

RE: new snake oil or for real?

Kind of sounds like the 200 mpg carburetor we all heard about long before the internet. :B
now that was true. my uncle had a friend at work who knew somebody who had heard from a good friend, that his brother.....but the patent was bought up by big oil and buried with the WMDs.

somehow a zucchini casserole reminds me of that old recipe on how to cook a carp. nail it to a board, hold over fire, remove and throw away carp and eat board.

RE: 32' vs. 35'

well don't know if this applies, but when I was concerned about the same thing in Class As, the salesman held his hands about 3 ft apart, and pointed out that was all we were talking about and pointed out also that if the first 32 ft got thru the last 3 ft would follow.

RE: Class A Winnebago/Itasca Internet dealers

sorry if you felt offended but credit worthiness is the first criteria in size of down payment. and in your post you did say he jacked up his price. which is it?
bumpy
By significantly changing the value of the trade in, a tactic often employed by the sleezy ones, he in effect jacked up the price or the amount a customer would have to pay. This is like arguing the definition of "IS."
I don't see it the same at all. one can look up and determine the fair trade in price on one's tradein, slash that a lot and that is what you will be getting. If the trade in allowance was reduced to a ridiculous/unfair level that would be different.
sort of reminds me of my father many years ago, kept bragging how the olds dealer gave him so many $$$$$ for his trade in. of course that was against an inflated retail price. :)

RE: Resecuring Winnebago fiberglass bumper

I found gorilla glue to be great when it can expand to hold like the cross pieces in chair legs, but really not the best when it comes to just "stickiness".
