Was a great fall rally :B many thanks again to the Indian Trails staff for hosting this fun event for us all. Thanks again also goes out to Dave(Head'n Out)& Victor for taking care of the T-shirts, Pat & Carey for supplying the meat & their generous raffle prizes, Butch(Wolfsontheprowl) & Dave(Head'n Out)for serving the sandwiches, Marty & Wendy for cooking the meat and all the help they always do, Michelle(Uppercrust) & Laurie(Poppin-up-fun)for the kids crafts, Butch(CB)for the tarps that helped keep us warm & the jack blocks he built for the raffle, Scott (Monkeybutt)for the fire rocket, and of course let's not forget Jackpot girl (I love her :W ).
Fun was a priority along with staying warm. Everyone pitched in to make it a great rally as always. Thanks goes out to all!

For those who are new to this years fall rally: Everyone brings their own plates, bowls and eating utensils to the potluck. Also; printed on the back of your name tags will be your sandwich order.

One other announcment:
Amy & I will be on site 101 from 6pm to 7pm Friday evening to hand out the welcome packets. Please stop by to get yours. The rally fee of $20.00 is due at that time along with any additional charges if you ordered extra or odd sized shirts. If your coming in later than 7pm Friday just ask around and I'm sure you'll find us. :B

Itinerary reminder:
(Times & details subject to change, look for a flyer in your welcome packet).
Friday night wine /cheese tasting get together beginning some time after dinner around dusk or so. If you would like to bring a bottle of your favorite wine and/or some cheese to share with others please do so. This will be by the main group super sized campfire at site #71. Don't forget your wine glasses.
Saturday morning (any time) visit the local Amish bakery, stores, and craft makers. (This is a self guided journey as we will not have a tour guide this year; however there are maps at the campground office showing the local sites). Get started early to avoid the tourist lines.
Kids crafts begins at 10:30AM Saturday morning. Tie-dye open for all to participate. Kids & parents please bring a white shirt, socks, hats, handkerchiefs, underwear or whatever you'd like to dye. Michelle is also again baking cookies for a cookie decorating event.
Saturday afternoon @ 1:30pm: Scavenger hunt for the kids. Or can be spent by Indian Trails lake, in the indoor pool, hiking the trails, socializing with fellow campers, or?
Saturday evening supper at 4:30PM. The raffle will be drawn immediately following the dinner. Bring your side dish but not your dessert. If you are bringing a dessert we ask you hold onto it until the 8PM dessert feast.
7:30PM – 8:30PM Saturday: Trick or treat for the kids. If you wish to hand out treats to the kids/adults please leave your rigs porch light on, light off means no ones home. Also please take a few minutes to take your kids in costume during this time to the front office for treats from Indian Trails.
8:30PM Saturday: The feast of desserts begins. If you have a dessert to share please bring it to the main campfire area to pass and share.
Sunday @ 10AM: Group picture time and the final raffle… To enter the raffle, please come to site # 72 and drop your nametags and tag holders into the drawing for a wonderful prize.

RE: External fuel tank for pick up
Hey you all with spare tanks, not to hijack the thread but maybe you can give some feedback on this related question. I just purchased a diesel truck with a 100 gallon spare tank in the bed. It's gravity fed and has a fuel filter prior to feeding into the factory tank. If I'm going to use this maybe once a year for longer trips is there any thing I should be concerned about while its empty such as fungus growth or condensation?

Since nobody else is taking action to improve the weather forcast I will.
I will be purchasing water pipe heat tapes from Fleet Farm today.
That should moderate tempatures upward.:B
Wow, you take your cold weather seriously! I was thinking of just filling the freshwater tank instead of using the hookup, seeing the trailer has the heated underbelly....
And extra propane! I wouldnt want to run out again like I did at my first rally. Big Dave saved me that time as my electric heater was broken and there was no one locally that could refill my cylinders. Thanks again Mr head! :B

I just bought a 2006 Chevy Silverado 1 Ton Duramax/Allison crew cab long bed SRW. I watched the internet daily for months trying to find one set up the way I wanted it. In the end I got everything I was looking for but I spent many many days being frustrated. Be patient, there's not allot of inventory moving around out there right now.

Hey everyone! Great to see you are all doing good! We have actually been using the camper this year, took it out to NY for 10 days and camped in OshKosh during the week of the AirVenture! That was a blast!
Druanne and I are going to be joining you for the fall Rally. :) I will call tomorrow since they are closed today. I'll let you know our site and all the pertinant info!!! Can't wait!! (well, we only have to wait a couple of weeks...hee-hee)

Well this days over. The funeral went as well as funerals can go I guess. Thank you all for the floral arrangement. Many times I found myself telling our guests about the great group of people we camp with all because of that nice gift from you all.

Hey all; we just adopted a 2006 1 ton Chevy diesel truck. Our Ford Expedition was very good to us but it was time for some more power, size, and improved mileage. After months of searching for the right vehical we found this one and the deal was made. We're looking forward to our first pull of the trailer which will be the fall rally :B Also special thanks to Marty, Todd, and many others for their informative input on making this decision.
Did you have to get a CDL to drive that bus???? :E Or is Julie going to do it for you? :B
I like the color. Makes me homesick for my 2003 that I got rid of.... :(
Yes I really like that color also; it really hides the dirt and since it's so large and doesnt fit in the garage I need to hide that dirt;) Found a perfect match in color, equipment, etc, etc. Patience paid off, it's really in clean good shape and I feel I got a fair deal.
