RE: Planning Florida Trip
Definitely check out St. Augustine and do KeY West.....I live near Ft. Myers Beach....it's a nice park and a very cheap trolley stops out front so need for a car for the beach itself ...however to travel into Ft. Myers you can take the bus or rent a car. Have a wonderful trip~

Just FYI, this place fills up fast....I would make reservations as soon as possible. There is a KOA about 20 min from the beaches. Most of the other parks are a little further. I grew up here and am very familiar with the area. Have a wonderful trip~

bobsea, can you give me a little more info. about substitute teaching while on the road? Are you required a license for each state or what? How would one go about getting started for substitute teaching? I have a degree but have not taught but it is thought that has crossed my mine. Thanks!

As a Mother to a USMC Soldier.....I too watched this with mixed emotion. He has served a tour in Iraq and is now in Hawaii at NCO school......preparing for a tour in Afghanistan next. I too cried for the family of this young man and hope he rest in peace!

Can't see your images.....help!
I am a lurker and for some reason can't see the images of your pets on my mac.....tells me my preferences are set wrong....I ck'd everything I know to ck. I can see them on my desktop but not the mac....if anyone has a suggestion, I would love the help. I am somewhat computer illiterate.....lol...but have always enjoyed coming here. Thankyou!

RE: Question about heaters
Make sure you wear socks and a beanie under your hoodie. Heat escapes from these 2 areas, therefore making you cold. Purchase some old army blankets from an army-navy store to use as carpet in the bottom of your tent.....helps protect your tent from wear and tear and keeps you from walking on cold floor of tent.
