RE: Black Friday "wally-docking"

Check out Black Friday 2009. Some stores have "door buster" deals where you can order the same sale items online starting Thursday. I'd rather fight a slow internet than a mad crowd all trying to get the latest Elmo doll.....

RE: Changes in the Forum?

As a web designer I find it annoying.....
No "Next" button on the bottom of the page when scrolling thru the list of forum topics, but it's there when you're reading a topic....
Too much unimportant information on the right side. All that info could be separate pages that can be gotten to from the main page.
What would be nice is to get rid of the "Go" button next to the "Jump to Forum" dropdown and add an onchange event to the dropdown so it goes to the page you want automatically when you select one.....
But it's a free site loaded with good information, so at least that didn't change. :B

RE: GM 6 Speed Shifting

Having said that, when towing, I use M and tow haul and travel in 5th for the most part because the tranny just seems to gear hunt unless I can maintain 65mph in 55 mph zone. In 5th gear, in a 55 zone I can travel anywhere from the 55 mph to 65 mph if I choose to do that conditions permitting.
Ditto.....

RE: Dallas Cowboys - what seems to be the problem?

Officials didn't help either.
That can be said for both sides..... I was sitting in Row 3 right by the goal line. It's amazing how much holding the linemen get away with.

Got the notice for my 2008 2500HD too. Took it to the dealer and had it back in 20 minutes. If nothing else, piece of mind that it's taken care of.

RE: Grocery Store Savings -- your personal best?

The easiest way for us to save is to not let me do the grocery shopping..... I'm too much of a "grab this and grab that" shopper. And if I take the kids with me it's even worse.....

RE: Wisconsin Fall Rally October 9th - 11th 2009

Ok - trying to get dates down for 2010 calendar already. Could someone please tell me what the dates for the Fall Rally are for next year??
Thanks much!!
It it stays true to form, it would be October 7 - 10. Usually the second weekend in October. If it's not then I guess I'll be having a rally by myself that weekend.....
The way the weather is going we could have a Winter Rally yet!

RE: School bus vs. HUMUNGOUS deer! OMG!

right now we're in the heat of the rut (no pun intended!) LOL
What you got in that coffee Julie! :B
Tuesday night I was on my way home from bow hunting and came upon 2 cars sitting on the side of the highway with their flashers on. It was around 6:15 pm and in that area it only meant one thing.... So I stopped. Yep, car #1 had a yearling buck run into the driver's side of his car. The kid said the deer's head was actually in his car and almost kissed him! Driver's mirror and window; gone....
But while we were standing there, the deer lifted up his head! It did this a couple times, and I''m sure it was pretty stunned and had one heck of a headache.. So, I kneeled down next to him and started rubbing his head and neck and he just lifted his head and looked at me! I did this for about 10 minutes or so and the deer tried to get up, so I grabbed under his side and got him up to his feet. He just stood there leaning against my legs, not real sure which way go. We had to keep him from running back onto the highway with all the traffic coming. We got him to walk down into the ditch, where he laid back down (on his knees and not his side) and just looked at us.
Unfortunately I had to take off, so I'm not sure if the little fellar made it or not. The driver that got hit was on the phone with the county sherriff's office when I left. It was quite the experience....

RE: Possible World Record Whitetail Buck

Question:
How come on those hunting shows on ESPN and Versus the guys keep whispering AFTER the animal is shot and dead?
If you mean when they are still in the tree and talking about what just happened, maybe just in case there are other deer in the area and they don't want to spook them..... Just a guess.
