RE: Locking Hitch Pin for 2008 Sierra 2500HD

I purchased a Trimax SXT5 stainless for my 2009 2-1/2" class V receiver-- $25.97 and so far I like it. Found it on Amazon.com w/ free shipping. Yeah, after I ordered the Master Lock is saw that Toys For Trucks had the Trimax in stock and I drive past the place twice a day..... Can't cancel my internet order either. :M We'll see how the Master Lock holds up and go from there..... Thanks for the info.

Based on the antlers and the backside, I would say it's an Elk. Very cool picture. Might have to make it my PC background ....

Locking Hitch Pin for 2008 Sierra 2500HD

Since GM went to a 2 1/2" receiver on their 2500HD Pickups, I'm having a hard time finding a Locking Hitch Pin to fit the new receiver width. Even my GM Parts dealer didn't have one that locks. The only one I've found so far came in Stainless and was $56! :E This is the pin that holds the ball bar in the receiver. Anyone know where I can find one to fit the new 2 1/2" receivers? Thanks. Dave.

RE: Halloween traditions-what do you do ?

Got a few things outside and some ghosts hanging in the tree. I'll hook the trailer up behind the ATV and pull the kids around the subdivision with all the other Dad's. Probably hit around 100 houses before it's all over. :B

Thanks to Michelle and Julie for keeping the kids busy on Saturday. We had to wash the kid's tie-dyed shirts last night so they could wear them to school today! And thanks to Dave & Amy for a fine job well done too! :B

RE: Fifth-Wheels With Bunks Up Front

I honestly didn't know that any fifth wheels had the beds anywhere but up front. What is up front if the bed (bunks?) isn't there? Most Fifth-Wheels have the master suite up front, but some have bunks up front with the master suite in the back. We have the Crossroads CF32BL, it is a mid Bunk unit. This is the first CrossRoads that we looked at 2 years ago and liked it too, but it limited us to only 2 beds for the kids. Wildcat 32qbbs I think has the bunks up front Very nice! Thank you. Jayco Front Bunkhouse 5er Eagle Lite 31.5 FBHS. Jayco Eagle 355 FBHS. Good luck! The 31.5FBHS has a nice layout! The 355FBHS is a little bigger and heavier than I was hoping for. Thanks for the info.

Fifth-Wheels With Bunks Up Front

Hopefully next year will bring an upgrade to a Fifth-Wheel for us. Right now I'm looking for models with the bunks up front. I figure, let the kids do the step climbing... :B I've looked at the CrossRoads Cruiser CF31QB and really like the layout. I've also looked at the K-Z Spree 305BHS, but not sure I want to walk around the sofa to get to the kitchen from the entry door. But I do like the large U-Shaped dinette. And I'm familiar with the K-Z brand. The specs for my truck: 18,500 GCWR, 12,400 max trailer weight and payload capacity of 3,644. I understand to look at 20% +/- of trailer weight as pin weight. I'm looking for other models that fall within my wants and limits, so any input is appreciated. Thanks. Dave.

RE: Golf Fans and the LPGA

, but she can drive a golf ball 300 yards. I can only dream about hitting a ball that far. I've only done that once, but that's because it rolled 100 yards down the cart path..... :B I'll be Marshalling Hole #1 for the 2010 PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. Really looking froward to it. It is a beautiful golf course along Lake Michigan. I went the last time it was here (as a spectator in 2004) and it was neat to see the big names up close. Also saw the Seniors Tour there a couple of years ago. I got Tom Kite's autograph, along with Tom Watson, Fuzzy Zoeller, Craig Stadler and a couple others. The Seniors seemed more receptive to giving out autographs (during the practice rounds) over the younger PGA Tour players. When Tiger Woods was here in 2004, he started his practice round very early and was off the course before the public was allowed in.

RE: Wisconsin Fall Rally October 9th - 11th 2009

Since nobody else is taking action to improve the weather forcast I will. I will be purchasing water pipe heat tapes from Fleet Farm today. That should moderate tempatures upward.:B Wow, you take your cold weather seriously! I was thinking of just filling the freshwater tank instead of using the hookup, seeing the trailer has the heated underbelly....

RE: Wisconsin Fall Rally October 9th - 11th 2009

Hey all; we just adopted a 2006 1 ton Chevy diesel truck. Our Ford Expedition was very good to us but it was time for some more power, size, and improved mileage. After months of searching for the right vehical we found this one and the deal was made. We're looking forward to our first pull of the trailer which will be the fall rally :B Also special thanks to Marty, Todd, and many others for their informative input on making this decision. Did you have to get a CDL to drive that bus???? :E Or is Julie going to do it for you? :B I like the color. Makes me homesick for my 2003 that I got rid of.... :(
