RE: burb vs. tahoe vs current taco v6

I have a yukon xl denali. with the 6.0 engine and 20 inch wheels... it beats the burb anyday with the 5.3 engine, far more stable while driving or towing than my burb was.

RE: 30 amp power cord melted

Is this Ohm law in reverse ... less voltage means more current draw:S or maybe I'm missing what he was trying to say which sure wasn't clear from that snippet.
Yep he is right about the bum info that can be posted here.
Larry
Speaking of bum info, my version of Ohm's law is I=E/R, which says a lower voltage, divided by the same resistance equals LESS current. It is a law, don't forget.
Larry,
The E in your form of Ohm's Law represents voltage loss, not voltage. The formula says, the greater the voltage loss (E) the greater the current (I) if the resistance (R) is held constant.
Example: Suppose a circuit has 10 amps of current and the resistance is 0.5. The voltage drop will be 5 volts. In the same circuit, suppose the voltage drops 20 volts. Then the amperage increases to 20/.05 = 40 amps.
Tom
guess what I learned and used all my life was wrong then, the USAF and IBM were wrong. I =current (or POWER) over voltage/resistance

RE: One reason our "system" doesn't work as it should

IMO the justice system is working fine in this instance. I think the situation bodes poorly for our society when a crazy homeowner feels it is necessary to chase down and tackle someone for playing a meaningless prank.
hence the reason the system is screwed up :R

RE: Keeping fridge cracked open during travel

I guess I'll just shut off the fridge, wipe it clean, & close it when I shut it off.
I didn't know I would get critized so bad for asking this question. I guess I should've mentioned it would be nice to have the door locked open some way so when not in use then I don't have to remember to close the door if I have to move the trailer around.
just ignore the ill mannered jerks, and have a great trip:B

tire pressures still change with temperature, but are more predictable because of no water vapor in the tire link

RE: Heat in trailer after max-air vent covers installed

When ever I have my fan on (in bathroom), I usually have a window on the shaded side of the trailer open so I'm not drawing air from the 2nd room vent (no fan).
I have heard if you use the regular MaxxAir vent covers w/ a fan, you'll burn out the motor, you have to use the larger style of vent cover. However a friend has used the MaxxAirs on his trailer for several seasons & has had no fain issues.
Can anyone comment?
not true, been doing it over two years zero problems

RE: RV Accessories-What have you bought and regretted?

Stupid Coiled water hose. To use it you have to completely uncoil and remove it from the wheel. It's like a firehose, so don't count on being able to nicely pile it on the ground! The first time I went to use this, I was probably 7' from the water spout. I had to run this dang hose up and down the side of the trailer, being careful not to kink it. I now have a 5' and a 15' walmart water hose. I think I paid almost $50 for that POS at the dealer when we bought our first trailer.

I have to totally disagree with this one, we camp mainly in state parks,I have three of the flat hoses, 1 25 ft regular white hose and 1 10 ft white hose, and have had to use all to get to water. had one problem in6 years with the hoses, called the company, told them the problem, it did leak, 4 days later had new hose in hand, and it was out of warranty and I told that to them. great product. if you camp with full hook ups..dont buy one
