RE: Jayco Seneca Changes (Duramax 6.6 Diesel)

Robert, I have a Jayco Greyhawk on the Kodiak chassis and have thought about how to make the headlight/running lights easier to toggle on and off. Here's what I was thinking: 1. Disconnect the daytime running lights so it's easier for passing trucks to see the on & off action of the headlights. Currently I'm using the high-beams assuming I remembered to move the dial to the headlight "on" position. 2. My coach has a side marker "interrupt" switch on the dash below the radio in the cab. It is almost perfect except it's only connected to the yellow running lights on the side of the house. I would love to figure out how to also wire all the running lights on the back of the house, specifically, the three marker lights that run accross the top of the rear cap of the house. I am planning on tackling these at some point soon, so I'll let you know what I come up with.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Didn't really do anything to the coach, but did contact Norcold to get a new refrigerator door. Our only casualty on our trip (21 days, 4000+ miles), was a broken hinge on the refrigerator door. Of course, you can't just replace the hinge...you have to replace the door! Gotta love the RV industry.

Want to Build a 15' 50-amp Shore Power Cord

After staying in 10 different RV parks on our recent three week trip, I am starting to dislike my 50 foot cord. It is really hard to lug around and even worse when the temperature is on the cold side. Is it possible to build a 15' 50-amp cord? I already purchased the Marinco locking end for the side that attaches to the coach. Do you have any suggestions for the male "pedestal" side and cord? I'd prefer to not purchase a 30' or 50' pre-assembled cord and cut it to size. Are there any alternatives out there? Or a good on-line electrical dealer that would have what I need? Thanks.

Sorry to hijack this thread, but do you all have the weight on a Sahara Unlimited? Thanks.

RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???

Picked up the motorhome from the shop seems to run great now but I need to find some HOT weather to be sure it is ok I take it that it has cooled off since the 100+ degree days from a couple of weeks ago. We were in Vancouver and it was hot!!!

Short Queen Mattress Replacement Options???

Just spent 21 consecutive nights in our coach and was very happy overall. Howevwe, I think before the next trip, I'd like to replace the OEM mattress with something more comfortable. Is there anything available besides the Sleep Number from Camping World? Or, if you have a Sleep Number, are you happy with it? Thanks.

RE: Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C Installation Questions

Just got back from our three week trip to the Northwest from Southern California. We probably stayed at 10 different RV Parks on our trip, and there is something very comforting about having the EMS on board before I plugged into an unfamiliar power post. A couple of times on the trip, the EMS shut down the power because of low voltage. BTW, I ended up mounting the remote monitor in the storage compartment where I store the shore power cord. Makes it really easy to check it, and at the same time I don't have to constantly look at the super bright readout 24-7. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions. Worth every cent.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Spent a couple of hours today unloading the coach and cleaning the inside. We just got back home form our three week adventure to the Northwest. What a great trip. A lifetime of memories and experiences for my wife and I, and our three kids.

RE: Monterey Peninsula RV Parks???

We ended up staying four days at the Coastanoa/N. Santa Cruz KOA. It is located on the coast in Pescadero. It was a great camp site, a perfect go-between San Francisco to the North and Monterey to the South. A very quiet and clean campground. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

RE: Why would I choose a Super C vs Normal C

The reason we chose a "Super C" was the ability to carry my family of 5 plus all of our gear in addition to having larger tanks (ability to boondock longer). Fully loaded, we are almost 1750 lbs under the GVWR.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Dumped the tanks this morning, checked the tire pressure, checked the oil level and cleaned the windshield for our final 450 miles of a 3000 mile trip! Almost home!!!

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

BTW, we're about halfway through our 3 week trip from SoCal to Vancouver, BC. We'll be staying in the Bend/Sisters area of Oregon for the next 4 days then to Redwood Forest in Northern CA for a couple of days. Then off to San Francisco for 3 nights...then home!!!

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Spent some time this morning repairing the window covering over the dinnette. While on the road, it suddenly came crashing down. After further inspection, when we had the day/night shades installed last year, the techs mounted the largest one with two wood screws!!! After a little modification, we're back on the road.

RE: Bend, Oregon...Any RV Park Suggestions?

Just got back from Bend/Sisters KOA. The park was beautiful. Would definately stay there again. It was away from Bend. Closer to the town of Sisters. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. We just arrived here at the KOA in Sisters and WOW! Beautiful area and one of the nicest parks we've stayed at. Thanks again to all of you.for the help.

Monterey Peninsula RV Parks???

Do you folks have any suggestions for a RV park or campground in and around Monterey? Ideally, somewhere in-between Monterey and San Francisco. Thanks for your help.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Installed three of the 3M adhesive hooks in the bathroom. We're always hanging wet towels on the shower door, no more! The hooks are metal and had a dark finish to them. They almost match the rest of the cabinet hardware in the coach.
