RE: Seneca Fuel Filter

There should be a "latch" that you should be able to press down with
one finger while holding the connector. I agree it is a short piece
of wire but can be done. I have changed mine twice, once while in a
rest stop in California (got water in fuel). It would be nice if we
could find a small extension for that wire. Sure would help.

RE: can't stand the rattles

The dishes can rattle, make sure they are separated by something. Also, we found that the turntable in the microware rattles, solved it with a bath towel wrapped around it. I sometimes have the screen door rattle, so just make sure it is closed tight with the door. Have had the TV antenna flap against the roof, solved by raising it just a little. Mainly make sure everything is in its place and secure.

RE: TV Reception

There is a Analog amplifier that must be turned on when using the
antenna. Did you turn that on? The switch should be somewhere in
the vicinity of the TV.

RE: is this a class C or B+ (Forest River-Lexington 23ft)

In looking at some advertisments with Google, it looks like this is a B plus. Almost all of the dealers call this the B plus.

RE: Do resorts have an age requirement to camp??

Sounds to me like Thousand Trails where you get 3 days camping, but you have to agree to a 90 minute "hard sell" to become a member.
If you can resist the hard sell, I would say go for it, but if any doubt, I would stay away. These memberships can be very expensive.

RE: basement storage doors Seneca

There is a cable on the doors that only open 90 degrees that is a stop. I disconnected the cable and get a little more open that helps. You have to be careful if the slides are out. That is the reason for the csbles.

RE: Steering stablizers

I have had the Safe-T-Plus on all of my motorhomes. I view it
more as a Safety device in case of blowout. I have been very
pleased with the Safe-T-Plus.

RE: Class c diesel

There are several Class C's with Diesel engines. I own a
Jayco Seneca 34SS with the Duramax 6.6 330HP and love it.
Along with Jayco, there is the Endura, Dynamax, etc. These
are generally called Super C's but not necessarily.

RE: Engine Batteries Jayco Seneca 5500 Diesel

On my 08 34SS, those batteries are maintenance free. I had
a problem with the originals and GM replaced them under
warranty. The originals were maintenance free also.

RE: Refrig failure in both AC and LP

If you had A/C, on Auto, the refrig would have been running on A/C.
It would switch to LP when your A/C was not there. So, apparently
when you ran out of LP, the refrig had nothing to run on. No A/C
and no LP.

RE: 2007 C5500 Chevy- Hub Cap Replacement

Do a google search for "C5500 Kodiak hubcaps". (no quotes)
There are several places with the hubcaps.

RE: Seneca Question

I recently replaced my headlights (only the dims) with Sylvania
Xtravision h4656 and they are quite a bit better. I still would
not consider them great, but they are much easier to drive with
now.

RE: Interior Lights w/o gen or plugged in

Have you checked the ground fault circuit breaker, usually located in the bathroom area. Should be an electrical outlet with a breaker in the middle of it.

RE: Jayco Senaca Warranty

The dealer should have transferred the warranty to you. Looks like you have had this unit about three months, so can the dealer do anything now? Jayco's warranty is two years (three years on the structural integrity) or 24000 miles.

RE: Seneca Question

I ordered my Seneca from factory, through dealer, and it was delivered 2/25/08 so will be two years old in Feb. I believe I have only been back to dealer for warranty work two, maybe three times in this two years. Guess I am lucky. I, too, love my unit and have mostly done all repairs myself which were very minor. I presently have just about 25,000 miles on my unit.

RE: Seneca Question

Ian, if your purchased your Seneca used, did someone replace the LPG
tank? I find if hard to believe that Jayco would have "forgot" to
put a gauge on it. As far as a gauge inside being normal, I don't
know. I have owned motorhomes with it inside and of course now one
without one inside. I was told before I purchased my Seneca that
the gauge was only on the tank.
As for the inverter, I believe mine also is only connected to the TV and Microwave. That is probably to save battery draining. I'm not
sure since I rarely, if ever, need the inverter.

RE: Radio Fuse for Seneca HD 35GS

Bumpus, it may be an in-line fuse in the power cable at the back of the radio. I know my CB has an in-line just before it plugs into the unit.
