netbook running street atlas

just wondering if anyone is running this setup and how its working out. the smaller size of the netbook should make it close to a gps unit.

RE: Cheap Tire Pressure Monitoring TPMS

hi stevelv, just wondered if you did anything different as my new secutire won't pickup the signal on the toad , which is maybe 35 feet behind, from the receiver, but it does if i bring the sensor closer. batteries are 3.3 volts. Here's a tip for anyone towing a toad and not having the funds for an advanced TPMS system. I've had the Doran Pressure Pro system on a previous coach but sold it with the coach. This time around, I didn't have the funds to buy a new system and to be honest, whilst it was great to know individual pressures, the one time I had a blowout it alerted me to zero pressure about 30 seconds after the 'bang'. What I really needed was something to alert me to low pressure on the toad - I would feel a tire let go on the coach but never knew that the toad lost a tire until I was flagged down. I bought a cheap system from Ebay called SecurTire - it cost me all of $14.99 with free shipping so I thought I'd try it. It works extremely well - the sensors are pre-set at 28 psi and it has a unit that plugs into a 12v accessory socket that shows a red light for each wheel that drops below 28 psi. Nothing like as advanced as a Pressure Pro - but it works and told me that I had lost pressure in the right front tire of my Jeep this weekend. Best of all, it works when plugged into the dash of the coach with the toad attached. The batteries can be easily replaced - not sure how long they will last yet. http://www.rvparkfinder.net/st.jpg It's nowhere near as 'good' as a Pressure Pro but it does the job for monitoring toad tires for a problem. At the price I thought it would be junk - it wasn't.

RE: Preventative maintenance on windows

i went around the top of my windows with a 1" strip and tapered the corners so you can't see it. it doesn't look bad at all. you just can't go around the curves. i also cut thin 1/8" strips and laid them in against the vinyl wher the glass meets the vinyl, and you can't even se them. i worked on boats for years and saw the area where the glass meets the vinyl trim leak, and it was hard to track down.

RE: Worth while mods for Triton V-10

We have a 2008 FltWood Southwind, with the Triton V-10 and the Power Platform Ford chassis. The question I have is there any worthwhile mods that can be done to the engine to improve preformance? I DO NOT not wish to chip the engine and with my chassis, the Banks headers cannot be used. I have made a modified ram air system going to the stock air box, that seems to help breathing some. Has anyone else made any changes that work that don't break the bank or void the warranty. It does the job going from Dallas/FtWorth to North Idaho, but I like the idea if a little is good more is better. All imput would be most appreciated on your ram air intake, how do you keep rain from blowing into it. i thought of doing the same thing and making a shutter door that i could control from the dash. the only other mod that would be somewhat easy woulkd be to install the exhaust pipe extractor gadget.

RE: Headlights too dim on 2008 Windsport

our windsport lights were never adjusted at all, and they are terrible at night. they also are hard to get to for adjusting. the mh has been a really nice unit but they sure left a lot to be desired when it comes to headlights. let me know what you find out

we just bought a pandigital scanner ,which is a small stand alone unit that puts 5 x 7 or smaller photos right on a sd chip. it seems to work fast as you you feed them in and then we have been dumping them on picture frames that run all the time. about 90.
