RE: Rear Axle Differential Swap..Should we or not!!

Last year I was contemplating the same change on my 06 F150 5.4 3:55. I decided to just try the truck as is and last summer we pulled it about 3500 miles. No real Mts. but through the Smokies and Georgia hills. The truck got me everywhere I had to go. You can`t be afraid of the higher rpm`s to get the power you need. I pull a TT that weighs 6200 lbs loaded.

RE: 2010 Outback Sydney 290 RLS

That is a neat looking floor-plan. I too am curious to see what others have to say about this unit.

RE: How long can I get away with it....

I would try to make it the 8 weeks...who knows? Plan B would be to have a blue tote in the bed of my truck and pump the waste into it and haul it out.

RE: etrailer.com

They have been very good to work with. You get a real person to answer questions and if they don`t know the answer they will find it and get back to you in a timely manner.

RE: For non-retirees; how do you justify it?

Only you can answer the justification of money spent on any item. If it gives you great pleasure or provides a needed service it then can be justified.

RE: Suggestions please...

An easier way is to get a longer hitch shank which will give you the added space needed.

RE: How do you store your TT?

We are fortunate to have the local county fairgrounds offer inside storage for the winter months. Goes in storage in mid Oct. and out the end of March. Pretty neat deal for $200.

RE: Sherline tongue weight multiplier for tongue jack

I have a Sherline and as I recall the readings were actually more at the coupler than the jack. But I have been away from it for a few months with this winter stuff ya know. I`m sure someone with much more experience than I will chime in and give some facts.

RE: Deep Cycle or Regular Battery?

What is the difference in $ between the two batteries you are pricing. Every time I think I am real smart and cut a corner to save a couple $`s I have found myself in a situation I did not foresee. JMOP

RE: Headed out for the second weekend in a row.

You are so fortunate to be able to "head out" anywhere! Winter is in full force here but spring training is coming up. Go Sox!

RE: '10 F150 XLT ride issues (hard, bouncy and bumpy)

The winter makes all of the roads in the mid-west terrible. The ride in all of our vehicles is terrible this time of year. Just a thought.

RE: Bought Flagstaff

Congratulations! I think you will enjoy your Flagstaff. We have had a great first season in ours and I am envious of you being able to spend some time camping. Even if it is the driveway it is better than anything we can do up here in the winter-land. Enjoy!

RE: First time buying Travel Trailer....need answers please.

As you can see there are many factors when calculating "how much trailer can I tow". Be patient and consider all of the wise council the folks here have to give. The most frustrating thing for me when I started this process was wanting a simple quick answer, then finding it was going to take research on my part to "figure things out". When you are done you will feel good about what you are towing and be able to make some good decisions. Good Luck!

RE: Shank to long?

It is probably less expensive get it cut to the correct size than to buy a new one.
