RE: Paint matching on aluminum skirts ?

Contact the manufacturer and ask them for the paint code number. Go to an automotive paint store and give them the code and they will be able to make a pint up for you.

RE: Hughesnet Directway Satellite Internet

Have it at work and for a business that has no other options it is OK. Personally I would search for a wifi enabled smart phone and go that route. Unless you are really out of cell range that will work fine for far less money a month.

RE: Wet bolt kits

I have an old English car that has "wet bolts" so I've BTDT! :B OH I am really sorry. LOL Austin Healey Sprite circa 1958. They were not imported for sale until 1959. Go figure!

RE: Wet bolt kits

What is a "Wet Bolt Kit" ????? Still waiting, "What is a "Wet Bolt Kit"A replacement for a "dry" bolt kit!!! They replace the standard shackle boltss on the trailer suspension with ones that can be lubricated (usually through a zerk). Supposed to reduce the squeaking from the suspension and also to help it move a little more smoothly, reducing wear on the shackles. Actually Keith, and here I can teach you something,LOL. The original spring end/shackle hangers have plastic bushings in them. They work very well for about 2000 miles. After that they start to wear out. If they are not replaced quickly the bolts will rub through the spring eyes eventually causing lots of damage. The wet bolt kit consists of a bronze bushing, a new bolt which is drilled and tapped for a standard zerk fitting. When properly installed and lubricated they will eliminate the potential dangers of the plastic junk. They are not hard to install, although it really is a two man job and you do need lots of supports/jacks to allow for raising and lowering the axles so you can position everything back into place during reassembly.

RE: Wet bolt kits

Give Trailair a call, I got mine for a really good price and had then in about 4 days. Crawl under your trailer and count ALL of the bolts, I think there are 14 and call them.

RE: Pocket door won't stay on it's track

Found on my sliding doors between the bath and bedroom would fall off all the time enroute too. My solution was to get a piece of 2X2 oak, cut it to length and screw it in place after staining. This allows the door to be firmly latched in position at all times.

RE: U shaped bracket broken

What year Cardinal is this? I seriously doubt a bent axle would cause the problem you have. You can contact Lippert yourself you know. There has been lots of problems on large fivers with the spring hangers breaking. Most people get a good truck frame shop to replace the hangers with heavier duty parts. Or you could replace everything from the frame to the ground with parts like torquelfex axles. This eliminates springs, shocks everything. Have you installed a wet bolt kit yet on your trailer. Or are you still trying to use the plastic bushings in the spring eyes? See there are lots of things that could cause your problem. Unless you do or have a competent shop do a thorough inspection there is no way to determine the exact problem.

RE: '10 Ram 3500 & '10 Bighorn 3385RL good match?

NO! To much trailer for any SRW truck. They need a dually.

RE: What about Montana Trailers

Montana's are OK I guess. For the dollar there are some that IMHO are better value. A used Alpenlite for example is far better. I am very pleased with my Cedar Creek and feel it is a better overall unit.

RE: looking to buy a good fifth wheel -need info

New,Used and budget? All play a big roll in your decisions. Used, An Alpenlite, although an orphan is still one of the finest fivers on the market IMHO. Next would be models like Cedar Creek,Cardinal,Montana,Hitchiker, Carriage and don't forget Mobile Suites.

RE: NEEED HEEELLLPPP! United Specialties Motorhome - toyhauler

What were you told about this? Most people purchase their RV, drive it across the border and go to a Canadian tire location and have it inspected and certified. Then go and get the license and title.

RE: Thanksgiving trip: Fresno, Ca to Tillamook ,Or

Lots of rain that time of year. For my money get a reservation at Netarts Bay RV park. About 10 miles west of Tillamook and you can have a site right on the bay for the views and wind or in the back for a little less wind. Good people reasonable rates.

RE: dodge mega cabs

This is NOT only a Mega Cab problem. This issue spans the entire 3/4 ton segment. With today's larger and larger fivers weighing ore and more, and people wanting to have it all they really need to wake up and realize that a 3/4 ton truck is no longer going to cut it.

RE: Summer 2011 trip planning/ideas/suggestions

IMHO this is pretty ambitious even for five weeks. Since you are traveling during the hottest part of the year, I would forgo the South West. Temps during your planned time could top 100+ every day. Instead, come west on either I90 or US20 taking in the Black Hills,Yellowstone and maybe Glacier NP's Continue to the Pacific Ocean and turn south. Basically going south to I80 and turn back east. This will get you the Oregon coast, northern California coast, Yellowstone, Glacier, the Great Salt Lake basin and a taste of the Rockies. If time permitted, you could hit Grand Tetons and Yellowstone on the return and head home on I90 after seeing Custer Battlefield.

RE: Droid X

I have a Pre and have not found any RV oriented apps. Which one is it? BTW other than the tiny keys making it hard to type on I like my Pre so far. Small light and with the mobile hotspot it makes internet access cheap and easy as long as I have cell service.
