RE: Any shady sites in Chandler, AZ area?

Doesn't have to be in Chandler.......a 30 mile radius would work. LOL

Any shady sites in Chandler, AZ area?

Don't laugh, I know it's a desert. We have spent many years in Apache Junction at one park, and now work is bringing us back to that area, just in time for summer. Our 5er had great insulation and great AC but this MH doesn't, so am hoping for someplace with a chance of shade. Doesn't have to be fancy......just full hookups is all we really need.

RE: Lake Mead

Yes, the graph is accurate......I did say that "most" (which implies "not all") of the post is incorrect and I stand by that. Lake Mead is not "currently" (nor was it at the time of that post) at 40% capacity.......and campgrounds have not closed because of the water levels. Lake Mead has been lower in it's history than it is today. As of today, the lake is at an elevation of just over 1,100 feet and is at 44% capacity.

RE: Lake Mead

The graph itself does show that the lake is not currently, nor was it in 2009, as being at a historic low. So, the graph is a great tool. LOL

RE: Lake Mead

You'll want to check your spots. Lake Mead is currently about 40% full, the lowest level in nearly 40 years. Some of the CG's are now closed. Some studies suggest the lake will actually be functionally dry by 2021. Don't know if that's true but it's plainly visible how low the lake level is. Here is a link to a graph: Historical and Current Graph Most of the above info is untrue. Today, Lake Mead is at a lower level than it was when this was posted.........and today the lake is 44% full AND it is not at either of the historic low points. None of the campgrounds are closed due to low water. Some campgrounds were closed many years ago due to flash floods, but none recently, and none due to low water. If anyone wants correct info regarding Lake Mead or ANY National Park, please call their respective visitors center.

How we spent the weekend

I don't get on here nearly as often as I should, and hope all my fellow fulltimers are doing well! We just had the most fun and exciting weekend. We got to participate in Dave Price's, No Way Home which aired on CBS all week. What a blast. What a nice man. Oh, and he loved Dylan. LOL No Way Home. This link tells the whole story. If you select the "leaving Las Vegas" link, it shows the pics of us and Dylan with Dave. Lower, in the video section, click on the video of Dave dozing in the chair and Dylan staring at him. LOL
