RE: Repair of black water value cable

Before I would drop the bottom, I would look at the connection coming thru the wall. My cable came loose and it happened to come loose at the wall connection. I removed the outside handle, removed the locknut on the housing and pulled the cable inside (the storage area) I found the connection was a crimped connection to the cable jacket (plastic) and the plastic pulled out of the connection. Not being able to recrimp the cable housing, I removed about 1/2 " of plastic, stuck the cable housing back in the crimped housing, drilled 2 tiny holes in the cheap pot metal bracket and carefully screwed in 2 tiny set screws so that it tightened against the cable housing,,,voila...repaired and I can always check and retighten if needed..
