RE: 2010 Honda CRV

I have a 2010 CRV which I tow. Never pulled the fuse, never had a dead battery. Longest I have towed was 4 hours.

RE: Roadmaster tires?

I have a set of 6, Roadmaster RM170. Less than half the cost of Goodyear and Michelens. Had them for six months or so, I like them.

RE: Satellite TV

A few months ago I had Directv install service at my home. I asked about the RV. They gave me a 3LNB dish and 50' RG6 and showed me how to use my receiver from my extra bedroom when in my RV. No extra charge for anything. I don't full time so about once a month I take the receiver, LCD out of my bedroom and hook inside RV. I use a homemade PVC stand. If you don't full time I'm sure Dish Network will do the same. Just ask the installer and maybe tip him.

RE: unusual noise

It's been a while since this was posted but I wanted to update on the noise situation.
After about 2000 miles, mostly short trips I still have the unusual noise at approx. 45 mph. I truly believe it is wind noise. I use it as a tool to monitor my speed through cities. The noise starts and my wife says " you must be doing 45" lol. Thanks all

RE: DTV service in RVs

I use the same PVC mount for my RV and works perfect. I will say that with my little 19" LCD in the RV I can't really see much difference between HD and SD. Most times I just align for 101 and watch SD. Now in the home on the big screens, you CAN really tell the difference.

RE: Where can I find a HDSAT Antenna cheap ?

I have purchased several items from Adventurerv.net in Tennessee and have had nothing less than excellent service, not to mention lowest price on tow bars, etc.

RE: Why is every thread concerning weapons closed early?

It's really no different from any other post I've read here. Ask about brakes, tires, brake a way, macerator, etc, and it all turns in to a battle.
I consider a question about weapons and firearms as legitimate as any other question on this site. If you don't like, move on to the next thread.

RE: Installed the Blue Ox on the CRV today

Congratulations! I am very impressed. My installer charged me 6 hours for my 2010 CRV and included the light kit. So you did very well in my opinion. It was the first time for them to install Blue Ox for they are a Demco dealer. They really raved about how well the installation went without any modifications from the instructions. It was well worth the $500 for me.
I'm glad your install was successful. Now go out and use it.

RE: Add-on tail light sockets GOTCHA....?

You wouldn't have a license plate light on a dolly either, never heard it being a problem.

RE: Base Plate Installation Price - Honda CR-V

$519 was labor only. They charged me $80 per hour. The light kit was the one where you drill holes and install new bulbs.

RE: Question for Ready Brake owners

I would be reluctant to trust someone who sells the brake and brake away systems.
They, naturally will tell you it's the law.

RE: Base Plate Installation Price - Honda CR-V

I just had the base plate and wiring kit installed by a local detail shop for my 2010 CRV. Blue Ox. $519. Maybe a little high but they did an excellent job.
That's too big of a job for me to tackle. Let the pros do it.

RE: 2010 Honda Fit VS Blue Ox

I wouldn't sell the tow bar too quickly. Blue OX is very good at answering emails concerning tow equipment. You can use your tow bar with any base plates. Just need an adapter, which would be less expensive.
I just purchased a 2010 CRV and inquired thru email about the equipment I needed and Blue OX responded within 24 hours.

RE: 2010 Chevy equinox

Just purchased the '10 CRV EX-L. Got the Blue OX tow bar in the mail today, waiting for the base plates. Only 200 miles on it but we like it.

RE: Brake/turn light problem on 08 CRV

Sounds like the turn signals are wired to the tail light instead of the brake light. That may be why the turn signal is weak when the brakes are on. The bulb has two elements, one for brake and turn, and one for tail lights. Thick (bright) one is for brake and turn). If wired properly, the brake light will blink when the turn signal is on at the same time the brakes are applied. If you look close, you may see one element blinking and the brake element on at the same time. Check the wiring at the plug. Anyway, probably an easy fix.
Hope this helps,

RE: Who shuts off their water?

I shut water off if leaving for long while.
When I first set up at the CG and before I hook up the park water, I turn my pump on for a while and listen to see if it comes on. If the pump comes on without using the faucets, then you have a leak. Then after we are all hooked up and level, we attach the park water supply (with a regulator)

RE: Honda CRV 2WD Flat Towable?

We just purchased a 2010 CRV 2WD EX-L. Flat towable, follow procedure. 2010 changes are:
a little more hp
less plastic on front and rear bumpers
USB iPOD connection in glove box (EX-L)
Blue OX base plates are the same as '09
