RE: Black Hills, Need Reservations for July?

I certainly would recommend it.
July 13-18 is a large Corvette gathering in Sioux Falls and Spearfish.
The motorcycle rally should be in August

Are they metal? Sounds like it could be lots cheaper, simpler to take them to a quality radiator shop for a flush and rework.

RE: High Mileage Rambler

^The mileage may be a positive thing. At least the coach was driven and not just parked.
If it has been cared for it should be good for another 100,000 miles. There are lots of gas powered trucks that go well over 200,000 miles with out touching the engine.
Check the age of the tires.

RE: Chevy gear ratio change

When you get a price for the 4x4 gear conversion you may have second thoughts as that will not be cheap. I suspect the small improvement for the expense will not be worth it.
The 3:42 gear might work for awhile if you stay on the Indiana flatland.

RE: mud flap/road guard

I got tired of stone chips on the toad and installed an Ultra Guard from Camping World about five years ago. I think it helped.
Be very careful on gravel roads if you have the flap mounted to close to the ground.

RE: A Class A or 5th Wheel for me?

Not too many RV can be lived in during the winter months. Even if insulated, your heating cost will be through the roof! Better look into alternate housing during the winter months, especially in those cold states.
I agree. Heating and frozen water pipes are going to be a big issue. IMO your company needs to fork over the bucks for something else.

On the rare occasion when I am trying to move my spare tire/wheel I get reminded why I dont mess with changing MH tires. Too heavy for my old, tired, surgically repaired back.

RE: Anyone installed a curved or adjustable shower rod?

I have installed 4-5 curved shower rods in stick built homes and would not even remotely consider installing one without proper anchors.
The weight of the curtain is to much for a friction mount
They make a great change to the shower/tub area

RE: People want a longer coach and some want a shorter coach

I have suggested to Craiglist that their ForSale RVs area be only for camper type RVs and have the ATV, snowmobile ads that clog the site moved in with motorcycles. Boat ads should be with boats not RVs.
If you agree, email Craiglist as this could be a great way to advertise trades also.
Just remember do not ever post your real email in a craigslist ad as you will be inundated with trash for months.
Craigslist is free and can work great. In December, I sold my 99 Silverado to the first person who called.

RE: Buying an RV from Camping World...

but at some Camping Worlds, for example but not only in upstate New York, we couldn't even get onto the lot past the qualifiers since we weren't planning to spent over $250,000 TODAY!
Some car dealers are that way also. My response has been "I am not talking to you about money until I find out you have something I want" IF they give me any crap, I have driven away.
