RE: computer optamization ???

With Glary, you can configure the clean-up routines separately, then use the 1-click feature to run them all when needed or you can run each separately. I switched from CCleaner to Glary about a year ago. The bottom line is there isnt too much you can do to improve performance of your pc short of adding more memory. But keeping your PC cleaned up will help. Program defaults (Firefox, IE, CCleaner, Glary, etc) are just the developers suggestion to get you started. It is up to you to learn and understand how to customize your system clean-up routines. Individual routines runable by the 1-click feature: - Registry Cleaner - Temporary Files Cleaner - Shortcuts Fixer - Tracks Eraser - Startup Manager - Spyware Remover (the other items are checked just like the temp files cleaner in the actual program) http://gotnarcosis.com/brucewittmeier/images/GlaryUtilitiesScreenShot.jpg You will be notificd when updates are available for download. It is difficult to really determine just how efficient any of these programs are without exhaustive testing, but if it does 80%, its worth running to me.

RE: air lift suspension

Do you mean Airlift Airbags? If yes, yes. I have the same truck. Here was my installation. It seems Jegs.com still has the best prices. RE: computer optamization ???

There are a couple things you can do to help yourself - and they are free. CCleaner - a program that cleans up cache files, bad registry entries, usused files, etc CCleaner Glary Disk Utilities - same thing Glary Disk Utilities Run one of these every few days. Reboot your PC, your modem and your router (if you use one) - daily would be good And as magicbus suggests, disk clean up, defrag and you can run chkdsk /f from a cmd or DOS window.

RE: Brake Controller help, plz.

I have not done a MaxBrake installation, but it doesnt appear to be much of an effort. Jordan was a little more difficult from what I see with the cable, bracket and drilling required for the cable clamp - I did install a Jordan. Prodigy would be the simplest. Here is a complete installation video for the MaxBrake. http://www.youtube.com/v/MAHh6a4BvkQ

RE: new cable style slides Cougar?

It is called the BAL system. Our Open Range salesman told us they could save about 200# per slide with the cable system. Not sure how. He also said they were easier to repair than the Elec/Mech/Hyd units. Here is a PDF file showing a repair and other details. http://www.tada-rv.com/scripts/pdfretail/get.php?id=361

RE: Super Glide and unhitching angle?

Consider a Hijacker Autoslide. They dont have the same arrangement for the capture plate. They have 2 vertical brackets - 1 one each side of the hitch plate that mate with the pinbox. Im sure there are some restriction on angle for hitching. They are adjustable so they can fit most any 5th wheel without modification other than std wrenches to move the brackets. http://www.hijacker.com/index.html

RE: Super Glide and unhitching angle?

I think 16º is the right number by the book.

RE: Faxing on the Road

efax is one method. But my recollection is the area codes may be out of your area code for every usage. Just review your assigned number. Another option would be to buy a low budget scanner, scan the doc and send it as an attachment to email. If you have a printer and scanner, all the other items can be eliminated. Scan a document it is like a fax Print a document it is a copy

RE: Can't decide which tent to buy

The one thing (important to me) is the height. One is 4'6" high and the other 6'6" high. Id spend the extra $35.00 and get one I could stand up in if needed for changing clothes, etc. They are different in size too. 7' vs 10'. A 7' tent (sloped sides) can get crowded real quick. Might depend on if you are backpacking or vehicle camping. You wont know the difference in quality unless you ask. http://www.swisslink.com/products/camping_outdoor/backcountry_3_person_square_dome_tent-3-636/ http://www.swisslink.com/products/camping_outdoor/square_dome_tent-3-1622/

RE: using firefox on PC

Firefox does a good job on how they handle update control. The user selects whether to check for updates of the browser, add-ons and search engines. Then the user can selectively control what actions to take when an update notification is received. I turn my off as I update from the nightly tinderbox builds about 4-5 times a week. I enjoy the participation and learning on the Mozillazine board in the Builds forum. Tools/Options/Advanced/Update tab Its just best to know what is happening with your PC.

RE: Computer Speed, need help??

Which Windows Home Premium? There is XP & Vista, I believe. Right click MyComputer and select Properties - this will tell specific details about your PC/OS/Memory, etc.

RE: using firefox on PC

IMO Firefox is the best browser on the market. Beware. There may be some defaults you may not like from the standard installation such as automatic updates. Sometimes things break when updates occur. The answer is turn off automatic updates. I (as hershey) was using Mozilla/Netscape back in the '90's when everyone else was using IE 4/5.x. Firefox has made quantum leaps in their development. Lots of help here. These guys are very knowledgeable and professional. http://forums.mozillazine.org/index.php?sid=80359d5234c78a890f5bcf3e82ec71a8 I recommend these addons: Tab Mix Plus (TMP) https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1122/ AdBlock Plus (ABP). https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865/

RE: Brake controller for one-time use

Get a Tekonsha Prodigy, P2 or P3 - goes with you to your next vehicle - $90.00-140.00. Here is the Prodigy (good choice): http://www.adventurerv.net/tekonsha-prodigy-trailer-camper-brake-control-p-1432.html Get the wiring harness for the Tekonsha (1 end fits all the above) and other needs to match the Explorer - goes with the explorer - $10.00-12.00. To identify if the Explorer has the tow package, you should have a 7 pin connector at the bumper near the Class III hitch. If there is only a 4 pin, it may not have the tow package. My suspicion is if the mfg built the camper with brakes it must be marginal at best or requires them. Best to use them You dont want a bad experience on your Camping/RV test run. :)

RE: NASCAR and wrecking

You are so right. Spectators dont stand up just for racing. But you wont find anyone sitting down if they see a good wreck. Look at how attentive everyone becomes when a baseball team unloads their bench. Do you remember that non-contact sport called Basketball?

RE: Folder Icon Display in Vista

Im using Windows Vista Home Premium also. I just went into a folder, changed the view to medium icons using the 'Views' button on the toolbar. Verified snap-to-grid is not selected. Verified auto-arrange is not selected. Moved 3 icons to the bottom our of the remaining field. Closed the window completely. Reopened with MyComputer and they were still as I last arranged them. Dont know if you have some property for a global window/filename arrangement set that might be working against you. Sorry... :)
