Since you posted in the signature thread, I assume that is what you are testing.
So far, you have not created a signature, but you have placed a picture suitable for a signature in your profile.
Signatures are created and edited on your preferences page, not the profile page. The link for your "My Preferences" page is just to the the left of the "My Profile" link on the "My Forums" page.

You may be doing nothing wrong.
Can you tell me what the error message says?
What portal (RV.Net, Woodall, Trailer Life, etc.) are you using?

Only thing that I found was error on page with yellow triangle down on the lower left side of the page.
