Dixie, Everyone tells me that I should get a bike for exercise. Also they have suggested a recumbant style. I just haven't got enthused.
Thought you would like to know as I amd Lori are in on the computers, Anna is laying by Lori squeaking a toy and Sarah has come in from the living room and is laying tight to my chair. Lori took more pix so I will have to send them to you.
Enjoy the warmth as it is a lovely 30* here and dreary.

A couple of years ago my husband and I got identical bikes at Costco - only $60 each, they have several gears for up and down hills. They have been great! I ride mine all the time to our "commons" building in our HOA for various meetings and exercise class. We were surprised to get such good bikes for such a low price. I tried taking Wolfie with me so he'd get some exercise - but he kept stopping to investigate things and pulling me off the bike!

Suzie is so funny. I moved the bronze statue of the dog to the front porch close to a window. Suzie came running into the family room barking and try to get me to follow her. She ran back into the living room to see if the intruder was still on the front porch and sure enough it was, so she started again. When I started out the front door to show her it was just a statue she was so afraid that this thing was going to attack me she didn't want me to go out the door, she simply panicked. Finally I convinced her it was okay to go outside and when she saw it wasn't alive she gave me that look of I knew it all the time.

Sarah before she went to Ohio. Now she has to wear a coat outside. Born in the South, raised in the South and now a Yankee? Wait a minute, is Ohio a Southern state? Gotta be...

I don't know much about computers but I do believe that your IP address is assigned to your computer by your Internet Provider which identifies your computer for everything you do on the internet, including voting more than once per day. I could be wrong but I do believe it to be how Internet Protocol works and I don't believe the IP address changes, please correct me if I am wrong.
Most home computers use dynamic, or changing, IP addressing. The address is assigned to the computer every time it is logged in. So if you shut down or the computer goes to sleep, it has to reconnect and the IP address assigned will be different from the previous session. A static, or unchanging IP address would only be absolutely necessary if your computer is hosting an Internet site, or perhaps for a VPN, but that wouldn't affect the rest of the world, so to speak. Static IP addresses almost always are NOT available on a standard home hook up, and are at least an extra cost (and largely unnecessary) option.
Thanks Joel, I had a home business hosted by my computer and had a fixed IP address so this is where I thought it was a permanent number. Glad someone knows more than I do. Fulltimegrams22

Good morning everyone. This morning the sun is shining and the outside temp is 42* and the ground is wet from all the rain. Suzie and Peaches are doing great and enjoying the Christmas season. The pictures of Sarah reminds me of a little dog that was in so much trouble when she came to us and I can’t help but think of her as a frail little girl who needs a lot of TLC. The picture of her in Jenni’s car tells me of her concern about where she was going and where is Richard and Sue? Dan and Lori will make a big difference in her life and when she finally accepts them as her parents she will be fine. She has been through a lot in the last month and this change of homes must have been puzzling to her. But I am sure she will adjust to her new life with Dan, Lori and Anna and when we see her again in April it will be a great reunion.
Well I asked Santa Claus for a bicycle for Christmas and he wanted to know if I had a resume and a list of folks as a character reference. The resume was to let him know if I would qualify as a good bike rider, being courteous on the bike trails and to stop and help the elderly along the way. I told him I would qualify as elderly and that I would be looking for help myself, like someone to help me up the long steep hills when I got tired. He looked at me and said, “Maybe you don’t need a bicycle, you might break a leg or something.” It reminded me of “You’ll shoot your eye out.” But anyway I have taken a lot of lessons from Ralphie and am going to watch the movie over and over again just to make sure I get it right, after all Ralphie did get his Red Ryder BB gun and he did almost shoot his eye out, but it all turned into a nice Christmas story with a happy ending.
The Old Fella Memorial is taking shape and hopefully we will have it in January along with the other surprise that is coming. Next year will be the year for Old Fella to be recognized Nationally and to insure his legacy will live on in the hearts of the people. What a wonderful thing for an old dog that lived his life for so many years in obscurity and to emerge as an icon for all the old strays of America. At last his story will be known by many who will cherish his memory and the work that was begun in his name. I thank God I was chosen to be his keeper even if it was for a very short time. Those three years gave me a lot of memories that I will always hold dear as perhaps some of the best of times.
