Hi everyone, hope you are having a great day. I got a late start today and have been running behind ever since. I haven't felt good for some reason and just can't seem to get it together.

Any way things are floating along fairly well as Sue I start think about our trip to Virginia to met up with Dan and Lori next week. We will be on the road for about ten days before coming home enjoying the mountains and the fall colors. I went to Wal- Mart to buy some tire cleaner and some holding tank chemicals, well when I left the store and was almost home I realized I had many more things that I really didn't need and forgot the things I went to get. So I made a U turn and went back to the store. I go straight to the items I wanted and went to check out at the fast lane and guess what? There is a lady in front of me with a basket full and I mean a basket full and running over. She had this look on her face, “If anybody wants to challenge me, get it on!” Since she was the size of a freight car I decided to pass on the offer and kept my peace. Then there was this kid in the check out next to me that was certainly out of control.

I felt so sorry for the mother I didn’t know what to do. It was obvious the child had mental problems and the mother was doing the best she could in the situation they were in and I heard some folks mumble under their breath, “If that was my kid I’d” you know the rest. So I decided I would try and help to calm the kid down while the mother tried to check out, big mistake, I won’t ever go there again. The kid screamed bloody murder as if I was trying molest him or something. The mother looked at me and said “He’s afraid of strangers sir and that’s why he is acting the way he is. My sitter didn’t show up this morning so I had to bring him with me and I forgot to give him his medication before we left home.

I withdrew and went back to the checkout line with that stupid look on my face of “It’s okay folks, everything is okay.” Boy I sure was glad to get out of there before someone called the cops on me . So I am back home now and will stay inside the rest of the day so I can stay out of trouble.

Some days just seem to go that way. I have politely pointed out to folks in front of me with the large basket that perhaps you didn't see the sign that said express lane, X items only and usually that gives them an out without feeling like an inconsiderate "person". Sometimes the response I get is that I'm in a hurry, I just tell them so are all the rest of us behind you that only have X items. Some remain in line, some have got out of line muttering something about me getting bit by my mom as she runs out from under the porch when I get home.
I really wish more cashiers would challenge those inconsiderate folks.
Sorry that is one of my pet peaves(sp??).

Some days are diamonds and some days are stones>>>>>>>>\\

That poor mom has to live with the kid 24\7 I am glad I have dogs, at least they can be crated occasionally LOL
I have actually had a cashier tell the person that had the basked of over the limit items, to go to another line. I do respect them for that and thanked her profusely

For three and one half years Fella graced our home with his love and faithfulness. I'd do it all over again if I could...
