More storms coming through.. Stay dry everyone.

We took off Thursday for Hartman Creek SP. A total of 8 families; us, a Class C, a pop-up and 5 tenters. The Ranger comes thru on Friday morning and warns us of severe weather moving in: high winds and 2 - 3 inches of rain, along with info that it's going to rain all day Saturday. All the tenters packed up and headed home. Seeing that we only really knew those in tents, we took off too. Needless to say the Ranger and weatherman were a little off!!! Some went back up today, but with the price of gas we decided to stay home instead of sticking another $100 in the tank. Took the kids to see "WALL E" and went out for pizza.

Hey Dave, I took our kids to see WALL-E today also, cute movie. Went in when it was sunny and came out to a down pour and blowing winds. Bummer on your camping trip, I wish we were out camping this weekend, besides the few showers that blew through it's pretty nice out there.

Joe went to a friend's cabin and Chris went with him. Guess what I did with the other 3 kids? Went to see WALL.E!!!!!!!!

Things may happen in your life that are totally unexpected but with good friends, a campfire and a positive attitude, you can get through anything.

We got a little wet Friday night & Saturday afternoon had a storm blow through pretty quick. Kids were mad cause we wouldn't let them ride bikes in the storm. No more camping until we leave for Yellowstone.

We are just fine. The wind sure blew though. We only got 1/4" of rain. I'm not sure what barn blew down, but ours is still standing so that's a good thing. Looks like a gloomy, windy, drizzly Sunday. Wendy

We were just about 10 miles or so west of you at Lake Emily by Anherst Junction. We had a brief shower Friday afternoon and then nice weather until is stormed pretty good around 11 p.m. Saturday was decent too with a shower or storm every once in a while, but sunshine between. The rangers came around and warned us too, but nothing materialized. Today wasn't as nice... windy, cloudy and cool. But, we packed up and were out of there by noon and home by 2:30.

We were busy here at home. A number of weeks ago, our lawnmower broke (the belt) . . . NOT a good thing during PRIME growing season! Our yard looked AWFUL with grass that was easily 2 feet high, if not more! YIKES! The lawnmower is fixed, thanks to a neighbor and we've been spending a LOT of time working on getting the grass cut and trimmed and general cleaning up!

Now, mind you, we have a little over 2 acres, and with grass that tall, it had to be RAKED up, because it looked like the farm fields look when you chop hay! LOL Have you ANY IDEA how much work is involved in RAKING TWO ACRES of lawn? We were hauling it with a wheelbarrow, but that was too much work. The utility trailer was hooked up to my truck, so we pulled that onto the lawn and tossed the grass in there. We have space behind the barn where we were able to put the cuttings. The trailer is 6x12, and we actually filled that sucker up TWICE!

Here's some video of the cleanup and our yard . . .

We had a few storms Friday night, but nothing too bad. Just some general thunder and lightening.

Nice wholesome family entertainment...
I'm not sure which... the family and/or the video...
Now I'm surprised you're not drying that, mixing it with wax and marketing it as a campfire starter...
