Flashback Max:

Our daughter lives in Groton. She babysat our cat while we were on our trip so we stopped there going and coming home. She is a grad student in Ithaca. She is already tired of winter and it is just November.
Our trip was pretty much then from where you are leaving from. We were in Alaska (Ketchikan) in two weeks and this included 2 days in Chicago area, two days in Jasper, Alberta area, and three days in Prince Rupert. Make sure you take time to see the Icefields Parkway (Banff and Jasper National Parks) either going or coming.

Take a Vehicle that is in excllent shape and can drive up Mountains with no problems. My 5th whl. was a little to much for our truck-2500HD Silverado-6.0L Gas.25ft.Wildcat 5th.Some of those grades are 5-8% for 5 miles and more.It got hot by the time we got to the top.Turn on the heater full blast and open the windows-it'll make it.And,take your time..enjoy the ride..its a longgggggg one.
