Was wondering if anyone has had a problem with cracked windows in a Dutchmen travel trailer. We have a 2008 travel trailer with cracks in 3 different windows. These cracks are in the slide outs. We have one in bottom bunk that slides out and the other two are in the other slideout where the table and couch are. On two of the windows the cracks are on the inside and have not gone all the way through. The crack above the table is from the top all the way to the bottom of the window and this one has gone all the way through. We are trying to get Dutchmen to replace these as we know nothing has hit these windows. All of these cracks have started at either at the top or bottom of the windows. There is no spidering of the cracks as if something has hit them. We believe that they were put in to tight and that is why they have cracked. If anyone has had this problem I would like to know because right now we are fighting with Dutchmen to have them stand behind this and replace these windows. We have owned the trailer since august 2007 and we have had no problem with these window until this summer. We always have the roof vents open so there is plenty of air circulating and the trailer has always been as close to level as we can get it. It's almost like they are stress cracks.

Sounds like stress cracks to me. I suspect the frame is flexing, causing the windows to crack.

It's now ready to spend the winter in the garage for more mods. More neon, strobe lights, alarm, a pa system, maintance, and whatever else that comes along. This golf cart does wheelies and travels thru 7 inches of mud when need be. Two honda eu2000i gens twinned to supply the electrical power. Latest addition an 04 Honda Goldwing. If all the cracked windows are in the slide out, it sounds like something is not right with the slide, causing stress. Have the whole slide checked out to make sure it is not bending or twisting more than normal.

Agreed...sounds like the slide out "box" is flexing diagonally and putting stress to the outer wall...Brian diaec
