I am logged into the forum and wanted to edit my profile to change the type or RV we now have.
Even though I am logged in, when I click on 'My Profile', I am asked to log in again. When I do, it simply goes back to the log in screen again. Thought I was entering the wrong password or id so I had my pw and id e-mailed to me and it is the same as I have been entering.
Any help?
Thanks,

Thanks but that didn't help. I deleted the cookies, logged off the forum and then logged back on just fine. When I went >My Forums>My Profile, I was given the log in screen again so I entered User Name>Password again and it immediately gave me another Log In screen then a message that the User Name and Password could not be located.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

The next thing to try is another computer, if possible. I have reported the problem, but the first two questions that will be asked is about cookies, I've already answered that one, and about using another computer.

Thanks, Tom. I'm on my laptop in the den on the WiFi router right now. I'll try on the desktop in the office in a bit and let you know.

Tom,
Came in here to the desktop and signed into RV.net just fine. Went to My Profile and didn't get asked to sign in for the second time. However, I did update my profile to show our Winnebago Brave 32V but it didn't change on my previous posts. Does this forum go back and make changes on previous posts or just on those made after the change...I guess I'll see when I submit this one.

PS...How to you like your Adventurer 32V? Been hit with the brake problem yet? My front passenger caliper locked on mine back in early July right after we got back home after a 1700 mile round trip to the Keys. I was not a happy camper about that deal.

Tom,
Found the right place to update my sig in the My Preferences section and made the change.
Thanks for your help. I'll have to reboot and run a few scans...CCleaner, Advanced Windows Care, etc to see if there is a temp file or cookie or something causing that weird sign in thing on my laptop. As I said earlier, I can sign into the forum without any problem but when I tried to go to My Profile, it asks me to sign in again and then won't take the User ID or password there.
Later,

Signatures are created and exited on your preferences page, not the profile page. I see your signature on all of the posts in this thread. Could you have been referring to another thread? You are aware that signatures show on only the first post on a page in all forums except this one?

That changine computers eliminated the problem suggests there is something going on with the first computer. I should have suggested in my first response that you delete the temporary files along with the cookies. I would still do that.

Every signature that is displayed on any of your posts, will be identical. When one changes, they all change. That is because signatures are not stored with the posts. Instead, the display engine attaches a copy of the signature from your account to the posts that display the signature.

We have enjoyed our Adventurer; it has served us well for 75,000 miles, including a trip to Alaska. I was unaware of a new brake problem. On 12/2/2003, I made this post about our right-front brake locking. The result of that incident: Workhorse replace all the calipers, slides, and brake pads on all wheels. Also knew pin kits were used. Some months later, a recall was made on those brakes.
