Al/Reeni,
For pictures to be displayed in a post, the picture must first be stored on a host site that available 24/7. It cannot be stored on your computer.
Here is a tutorial showing how to host on TinyPic.com and post pictures.

Well, looks like I need help.
For quite some time, I've successfully uploaded photos from my old Sony camera to Photobucket where I could then post them to the forum. Now, I get this new Kodak EasyShare camera which is much smaller and has greater resolution (8.0 megapixels). I can't get the photos to upload from the new camera to Photobucket. I've tried the USB connection, and also removed the memory card from the camera and inserted it directly into the laptop. Get an error message that the images don't have a "valid image extension".
Seems I can upload to the Kodak software, but can't get them posted from there to the forum.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Al

Can you expand on that a little?
Are you saying I need to download from the camera to the Kodak software on my laptop, and then upload from that to photobucket? I've tried that, without success.
Thanks.

I "assume" that since you said that the program did not recognize your file format, that the Kodak saves in some proprietary type. if so, you could save them into a JPEG or similar format and upload them. Yes download from camera to computer, convert them to another format, and upload them. but hopefully somebody who know what they are talking about can jump in here and be helpful.

Can you put at least one of the pictures on your computer? If so, would you mind sending me one to examine? If acceptable, I'll will send a PM with an email address.

Thanks Tom,
I visited last night with a friend that's much younger and much more computer savvy than myself. It seems the two go hand in hand. She offered a couple of suggestions, so I'll try those when I get time at lunch.
However, you might go ahead and PM me with your address, just in case.
Thanks,
Al
