Writing in for my sister...
Should she run the propane generator off season to maintain its performance. I know her dealer said to run the diesel for the RV engine every couple weeks while being stored. The unit is parked outside in the New Hamp. Any advice is appreciated.

if in a humid climate it's a good idea to run it every few weeks to operating temp to keep the moisture out of the windings. being propane, it is not subject to the same fuel issues and varnish problems as a gas engine. if there is no humidity where it is being stored then i wouldn't worry about it.

The one thing not mentioned above is, when you exercise (Run) the generator every few weeks for 20 min, run it under a load, like with a 1500 watt 120V portable heater plugged in, this will put a load on the generator and warm up and dry out its windings, and a little heat in the RV wont hurt either. Just running the engine doesn't help the windings.
