OK, who's making plans for next year? I'm already filled out May, June, September, and October with a possibility of April also.
Trips planned are:
April possibly the Mid Atlantic Truck Camper Rally if the TC is ready and I get the time off.
May is the Spring NETCJ and my annual Fishing trip to Indian Hollow
June is Western MA with the kids the week after they get out of school
September is Carlisle PA with the Fall NETCJ
October is the Haunted Happenings Late Fall NETCJ
Plus I'm planning several weekend getaways to either the White Mountains, Maine, or Vermont for some serious trout fishing between April 30th and October/November
So what are you planning this coming year?

DW and I have a trip planned for over the New Years Holiday. We also have some long weekend trips for Jan and Feb. Our Vacation will be a two week trip to S.D. we will also go somewhere for one week in the fall. One major problem the we have is that work get in the way of our camping. We do not get to to go anywhere as often as we would like.

Tucson to Austin to Jefferson City, Mo, to Washington D.C. to Holden, Ma, to Buffalo, NY, to Yellowknife, NWT, to Inuvik, NWT, to Haines, DC, to Santa Clara, Ca, down the west coast to Morro Bay, and home to Tucson.
About 2 - 3 months. Leaving in April.
That's if all goes according to plan.

I've got 25 days off, last three weeks of June and we are planning San Francisco area to Anchorage by way of the Cassiar Highway and Klondike loop. Hopefully we will have a week in Alaska to explore the Kenai area then down to Skagway with an afternoon to ride the old train to White Pass and then catch the ferry back to Bellingham.
It will be a packed itinerary I know but I'm still a working stiff so this is the best way for us to pull it off.

You can do this. We did nearly the same itinerary, but included Fairbanks and a couple of nights in Denali for a total of 28 days, and we didn't feel too rushed. This was quite a few years ago, too, and the Cassiar was entirely gravel (my brother-in-law says it's paved now). Happy camping.
We'll be taking shorter trips next year, but plenty of them. Trying to be spontaneous...

Looks like some fun ahead this year. I talked to the girlfriend about the weekend trips, and threw in another added item on to my list, Surf fishing at night at Morris Island on the inlet to Stage Harbor, taking the TC along but only using that for sleep before heading out to the beach, and that will definately be spur of the moment fishing.
I like the ideas of long trips, maybe next year I can convince her that we need to take a 2 week cruise across the countryside.
So let's keep the ideas coming.

july,august-travel to northern california, oregon, washington, idaho, montana, wyoming, utah, colorado. meeting up with eldest son in washington through montana, where he continues his goal of running a marathon or ultra marathon in each of the 50 states! also, lots of mountain hiking and flyfishing along the way! we love the rockies!
