For the past two days, we've been sitting at Palm Canyon which is a few miles south of Q. We plan to move to somewhere on Plomosa Road tomorrow, preferably with at least one hundred yards of elbow room. Over on the Bouse side of the mountains if the Q side is too crowded.
Just wondering how the traffic is in Q - I think the show starts in a couple days.
BTW, the Love's truck stop on the west end of Q tells me they have had to shut down their dump facilities due to the county wanting some kind of fee.

Plomosa rd area area still has quite a bit of room, high jolly is getting pretty crowded. the ltva's still have tons of room. so, elbow room shouldn't be an issue. BTW, the show starts on the 17th.

The RV Pit Stop has a dump and fresh water.

ThomasinNV, thanks for the show start date, we were wondering when traffic would get REALLY bad. We parked at the end of the Plomosa camping area today and we've been watching SKP rigs park across the road all day long.

elh0146, thanks, we used the Pit Stop last year and again this morning. Water & dump is still $10. Last year, Love's was free if you bought fuel. That is why I mentioned it.

The first mile or so the road isn't too bad. After that, be very careful in an RV. There is a gas pipeline that crosses the road at about the one mile point and you can go down it either way and find lots of nice spots to sit.

Here is where we sat, at the junction of the road and the pipeline.

We were at the SE end of Plomosa from 1/12 to 1/18. We are currently at Osborne Wash near Parker but may head back to Plomosa for a few days. Depends on how many ATVs show up tomorrow and/or Saturday.
